John Cena is in final negotiations to star in the Paramount Players movie “Playing With Fire,” sources tell Variety.

The family comedy revolves around a group of rugged wildfire fighters who meet their match when they rescue a trio of rambunctious children.

'Deadpool' Actress Brianna Hildebrand Joins John Cena in 'Playing With Fire' (Exclusive)

Briannna Hildebrand, who is best known as the Deadpool franchise's resident angsty teen, is in talks to join John Cena in the family comedy Playing With Fire.

The Paramount Players project follows wildfire fighters that spend Christmas weekend at the station taking care of three rambunctious kids they rescued. Hildebrand will be playing the eldest of the orphaned siblings, Brynn.



Judy Greer Joins Paramount Players’ ‘Playing With Fire’ Opposite John Cena

Judy Greer is set to star opposite John Cena in Paramount Players’ upcoming Playing With Fire from director Andy Fickman.

The Halloween star will play Dr. Amy Hicks in the pic who is the love interest to Cena’s John Carson. In Playing With Fire, a depot in the remote Eastern Sierras becomes an unlikely safe haven for a trio of orphaned kids who are determined to stay together after learning of Social Services’ plan to send them to separate foster homes.

‘A Quiet Place 2’ Will Now Open In Spring 2020, Not Summer – Deadline

After Sonic the Hedgehog moved from Nov. 8 to Feb. 14, 2020 this morning, Paramount has filled that hole with Andy Fickman’s Playing With Fire starring Judy Greer, John Cena, John Leguziamo, and Brianna Hildebrand. Pic’s original date was what A Quiet Place 2 has now. The feature we hear is ready and a good family film for the date.
