A worse actor? He's been in 3 movies (2 of them cameos) in the past 10 years or so. A bit harsh.

And he's become more a parody of himself than ever. No Arnie, please.

Either bring Bale back for T5 or Bring the Sarah Connor Chronicles back. Anyone here else a fan of that show? I know there are some people who didn't like it.

TSCC wasn't quite Cameron-level, but it was better than either of the last two movies. I enjoyed it.

Sarah Connor Chronicles was the best thing to happen to the franchise.

So glad to see I'm not alone in this and I hope I don't offend you Sawyer in saying this but I'm gonna have to agree with you on this Octoberist! T:SCC is the best thing to come since the first two movies and I proved to me that you CAN do Terminator without Cameron and Arnold. That being sad I do really like and enjoy ALL the T films even 3 and 4.

^I agree about The Sarah Connor Chronicles.

Arnold should just do old Conan instead.

There is actually some promise in that. Old Conan would be something to see unlike him doing yet another Terminator. He only did Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines for the paycheck and it showed in the performance. Just take your ball and go home.

I'll say this:

Even in T3, it felt like Arnold was just hamming it up. There's a self awareness in his acting there and it kinda made his performance less genuine than what he did in T1 and T2, two movies where he was different phases in his career.

Personally I think there is something to enjoy in all of the Terminator films. I think the first two are really good films, T3 has some really exciting action and is decently paced and Salvation has great looking CGI Terminators and great visuals all around.

I still like Arnie today, but don't know if I could see him in Terminator again. I'm not against it but something like Old Conan would make a lot more sense for Arnie to return too.

I may just be crazy but I actually like his performance in T3 quite a bit. I like how the idea of him as a surrogate father is expanded further. But then again seeing as we both agree on T:SCC I can see future Terminator films without him. Sometimes I feel the franchise is too scared to do anything but rehash the same ideas over and over. T:SCC did use some of the same ideas but also introduced several new ones.

Write him a letter, I'm sure he'll take it under advisement.

What a dumb thing to say.

I'm in the no Ahnold camp. He's too old, his inclusion would make no sense and quite frankly I'm sick and tired of his awful acting schtick and looking at The Last Stand, I'd say the majority of people are to

I love you guys.

The worst thing about TSCC was that cliff hanger ending. **** gets real and then they cancel it. Why, God, WHY!

The only, only way Arnold could successfully work in this film is if he plays a human military guy who the terminator is based on, or similar. He's aged an awful lot in the last 5 years and there's no way he on Earth an audience will buy him now as any kind of Terminator.

Skynet didn't design any botoxed up 60 year old T-models, did they?

I personally liked T3 and T4, though T4 got some major things wrong and overall was a dissapointment and IMO, the worst of the franchise.

A step up would definately be needed for the next movie as the 1st 2 are just so far beyond in quality, and IMO that applies to most sci-fi-action movies not just this franchise. If Arnold were to come back, he would need to get in serious shape again and I dont know if he is capable. He certainly looked his age in TLS but that was part of the story so who knows.

Complete with squeaking gears, jerky movements, a malfunctioning voice "I'll-I'll-bbbeee baaaack," and a tennis-balled walker to smack humans with? Don't think so.

Lol.

Perhaps John Connor stumbles across Arnie in an old T-model warehouse. All messed up and practicing his smile.
