Arnold Schwarzenegger Returning For The Legend of Conan

He is. It's good money and less time consuming.

That's why a few directors stick to directing commercials because in a few months you're done; with a movie you're dealing with it for two years.

Paul Verhoeven, unfortunately, is way too old direct a movie like this. He's almost 80 years old.

I think 2015 has proven that septagenerians can handle this kind of movie better than directors half their age.

What's the story now on the film? Read a few posts. SomArnold is out now? So will the recast a new old Conan or they going for another reboot? Or a Jason Momoa Conan2?

I just had the best idea to get this project fast tracked and guarantee it's awesomeness... And yes, I already know he said he wanted to do something a bit less stressful however... GEORGE MILLER directs this thing. He could pull it off in a way far less needing all the time and resources Fury Road needed.

If the Gods are good, George Miller's next film might be one scripted by Louis Mellis and David Scinto.

With Stephen Dillane, Ian McShane and Javier Bardem starring.

Great idea.

Arnold's out? Since when? The most recent news I've read was that the movie's still on, and Arnold's still starring. And that was posted only one or two pages ago. Has there been a new development since then?

Great idea.

Agreed. Although I haven't seen Fury Road yet, with all of the hype surrounding MM: FR, some of that might spill over onto Legend of Conan. And with the lack of explosives needed, it would certainly be a less expensive movie to make. CGI might be needed for any magic spells cast by evil wizards, but that's significantly less expensive than blowing up stunt cars.

Who hasn't seen Fury Road yet unless you're a cave person?

Let's hope Arnold can still wear the crown of Aquilona upon a troubled brow instead of a skeleton brow.

I really wish this movie would have some real progress. Conan the Barbarian is probably one of my 3 favorite Arnold movies, and I have been wanting to see this one happen for a while.

If it ever is filmed will it be more like the Barbarian and less like the Destroyer ?

All interviews I have read state that it is their intention to make it a LOTR style epic, and not repeat the mistakes of Red Sonja and Conan the Destroyer. I agree, those pitfalls should be avoided.

Are they saying - several movies with an interconnected storyline - or just large scale single movie?

I think they meant one large scale single movie.

But my instinct tells me that this won't happen.

Yeah....I can see several stand alone Conan movies....but several connected one giant storyline movies doesn't sound right for him.....but Hollywood loves to jump on a bandwagon.
