With the star power in this movie coupled with Ayer fresh off of the End of Watch acclaim, I hope this film is good. I really do. Arnold needs it.

Ah, excellent!

By the way, as an update, a guy who read the Woods script said it was atrocious and the Ayer's rewrite was a complete top to bottom job. He didn't like it because it was a dialogue heavy mystery thriller and very much a David Ayer film rather than a typical 80's action film. Which for me sounds way more interesting.

Exclusive: David Ayer tells TheArnoldFans that the SABOTAGE trailer drops TONIGHT on ET & tomorrow on @YahooMovies!

A trailer?! YES! I as well really hope this one is good for Arnold's sake, it'd be good for his career.

Just realized this is the End of Watch/Street Kings guy. That bodes well.

With Ayer at the helm, I'd prefer that. Ayer is a master of dialogue. It's at Tarantino levels sometimes.

Totally, Arnold in something like Street Kings or End of Watch is a far more interesting prospect. Especially since he's got Expendables 3 due four months later for the action fix.

Yep and it's different and refreshing. Seldom was Arnold in something that wasn't an action film throughout his career.

That's why I was so excited for that WWII film he was supposed to do. No doubt it would have had it's share of action but it sounded like a more thoughtful kind of film.

I can't wait to hear Arnie yell "DEA!" :D

Am I reading this right, Ayer wanted the movie to be more like an 80's action film and less like his usual stuff, so he re-wrote it?

This is how I like my Arnold

:D

No, the guy who read the script wanted Commando 2. Ayer wrote a dark, hard, dialgue heavy mystery movie in line with his prior films.

OHHHHH, that clears things up. I thought that Ayer rewrote the script and transformed it from his usual expertise into an 80's action film. Now I am excited again.

Gotcha! I thought the trailer would be up by now as ET has aired.

Funnily enough I was just thinking, Ayer was actually going to do a Commando remake at one point.

Excuse me while I go and remove the grin from my face! :woot:

I think the film looks fantastic, for me at least this seems to be the Arnold comeback film I've been waiting for.

Holy f***.

Also, I almost didn't recognize Sam Worthington for a moment there.
