Well that's disappointing. Killing off Laurel was the worst mistake ever. I was really hoping for her to actually be alive.

Laurel was alive and well and actually survived Damien's stab. Last words we heard from Laurel were, "If you really love me, you'll do this for me."

Next thing we know she's dying, presumably Oliver killed her somehow. Did we ever actually find out what happened?

Oliver didnt kill her. The expert doctors couldn't save her but leave it to TA to stitch themselves up from stab wounds and be a-ok or magic leaves.

I figured that from the scream alone, but my question is how? We haven't heard from Siren since she was locked in the metahuman chamber and we haven't seen how Flashpoint might have affected or changed any metas who were or weren't put away by Team Flash.

If I had to venture a guess, Prometheus just broke her out real sneaky-like.

How did Prometheus even know about her when even Team Arrow didn't seem to? Why would she consider him any real threat when she can just obliterate him in an instant? How did she escape without Barry and co realizing it? Why must they make Barry and co look stupid constantly?

And WOW can I see the backlash to this being even louder and more intense than before.

"Laurel" is about to drink champagne in that clip. In season 2 she gave up drinking alcohol. Surely Oliver and co would know this. If this goes unmentioned, then it is pretty ridiculous on the writers part. Addiction was a massive part of her arc in season 2.

Half the comments on Twitter are "Olicity action scene! " Another portion is "Yay, Laurel's statue is being destroyed!"

Yep, I guess we know which portion of the fandom resides there.

Would be nice if Laurel got more love. She finally was going somewhere in 4B. I feel like Caitlin on Flash is going the same path as Laurel, based on both shows into their Season 3 stories. I just hope they don't kill her off to prop up Westallen, exactly what Laurel did for Olicity.

The difference is that Barry and Caitlyn aren't and never have been an item, and the only times that it's ever even been teased were either humorous (the shapeshifter in Barry's form kissing Caitlyn; drunk Caitlyn flirting with Barry) or in the form of Killer Frost's snide flirts (and one kiss, intended to freeze Barry). On the other hand, Laurel was Oliver's canon love interest and they decided to change that and choose Felicity instead. Whereas in Flash, Iris is Barry's canon love interest, so there would be no need for Caitlyn to be killed off to justify anything. Everyone expects Westallen to happen because Barry and Iris are the Flash's romantic couple. But S1 of Arrow (and even the S2 finale, despite what some say to the contrary), clearly showed that Oliver loved Laurel, not Felicity. It's taken until now, in S5, for him to finally admit that again.

Well im not surprised that everything Laurel will be gone basically after this episode. They literally are replacing her in each and every role she had on the show.

They aren't in charge of the promos and Guggenheim was as surprised as we were that they put in there.

Even for TheCW it is surprising
