Ampersand's right. The thing with Photoshop is that for your work to look professional, you want to do the work. Use filters sparingly to enhance your overall pic, not make something that you could do on your own. Rather than a lens filter for the sun, make the sun(unless you're doing something in space). Rather than Render Clouds, paint the clouds. There are numerous tutorials out there that explain how to make things with Photoshop that look photo realistic, and there's nary a filter in sight. Google photoshop tutorials for sites that have them and you'll find ways to make your pics look better and learn PS at the same time.

I like the second version way more than the first but neither is that great. I think you just have way too much going on. You should have just kept the superman on the left and made the world the rest.
