well decided to throw something in, just for fun. There have been some great stuff so far.

Mattchew, love that you went serious, everyone else seems to be doing the jokes. The gestures and look of your piece just mesh really well, and don't know if you intended it but the way the hair joins making the bottom shape of a "heart" seems like a nice touch. If you just use the background colours to form the semblance of the top portion it would create a new interesting dynamic IMO.

Phig, loving yours too. Pretty funny, and like that Ivy isn't freaked out by Swampy.

i love the tenderness of the embrace, and, as always, i love the stylization of the figures, matt. the background goes well with their hair!

Thanks... the idea of 'tenderness' was definately what I was going for, so glad it comes across! As for the background, I stole that wind and clouds from a storm piece I did a long time ago and altered it a bit... took 3 mins, but I was hoping it makes her blowing hair look legit.

As for the 'heart', that was intentional, but i kinda wanted it to be made by their hair lines, his jaw line, her cheek bone, and the line across in the background. It was TOTALLY meant to be a hidden thing (as opposed to a giant pink heart in the background) so I'm shocked this even came up... even if it was not in the way I intended.

Thanks... As for your question, I guess it's more that I just enjoy the two characters, on their own.

For a bit I was thinking of doing Colossus and Northstar (like in the Ultimate line), but was worried that the gay issue might be perceived in a jokey/mocking way (given the nature of several entries this month) so I decided against that.

That left me kinda stuck. I love Storm, and so who should she hook up with? I had this idea of having his claws out and having sparks running between them so I picked Wolverine but in the end, I edited that cause it was kinda lame.
