As much as it would probably have less melodrama in S-M 3 without Venom and the symbiote, I do understand why Arad pushed Venom into the third film because a Sandman/Vulture combo doesn't sound like a real mean threat and the two of those won't match what Doc Ock or GG could have done to the web-crawler, imo.

Vulture may have been well-known, but he's STILL an old man.

Vulture is also up there with villains I would not like to see...granted, the design of him looks way better than he looked for Spider-Man 3, but still, there are more interesting villains as well as villains that would keep up with Spider-Man, as I said...Vulture is still an OLD man, lol.

Well, that's where interpretation comes in. Sam probably would have added more to the backstory of Vulture overall to make him seem like more of a threat. He was a threat plenty of times in the comics. Not as much as Goblin or Ock, but he was still a threat.

Well, the comics can play on the most silly things, imo.

If Raimi planned on making Vulture a threat, I would...and this may cause a stir...I would not make Adrian Toomes elderly.

Vutlture is one of Spidey's most well known Villains. Maybe not the most in depth and powerful, but he is msotly well known. I really believe if Sony would have let Raimi use him, he would have done something amazing with the character. Especially with the fact that John Malkovitch was playing him. There has to be a good reason for him wanting to use the character. He wanted to use him for S-M3 along with Sandman.

Dang, sick idea, I wonder who would be victorious? I have been hanging out at the local comin shop for a few weeks now and the owner and i seem to have a pretty good idea. It's crazy how by simply looking at online reviews I was able to find a great novelty shop four blocks away with a cafe and wi-fi. Do you guys ever use Angie's Listfor online reviews?

i hate bumping old threads but wow there were some huge idiots in this thread. the guy says that hes designing toys and Anno Domini just keeps trying to twist the octo-goblin-spidey into being concept art for the film hahaha

its as stupid as saying this was in a deleted scene in the Dark Knight

and just because youve never seen concept art for toys, doesnt mean it isnt there. how do you think they make toys? they dont just start with a plastic mold, someone needs to design them first!

While the Vulture design is pretty Bad Ass and I do believe Vulture could be in a film one day(as a side villain though.) I'm still happy we got the reboot instead of this.

I agree, glad we got the reboot. After watching it actually made me more hopeful we`ll see some of the lower-class villains.

hmm, Electro and Vulture. Coupled with the fact they might have both survived...

The Sinister Six!

Surviving villain - Venom (Symbiote surviving piece)
Surviving villain - Sandman

Possible villain - The Lizard (Spider-man 5)

Anyone dashing my hopes of the sinister six for now i wouldnt be suprised if Raimi was planning a group villain mash-up by introducing so many villains so they could be ready for a potential 6th Spider-man film.

Electro i love that he has something holding his body in place and i like how his power is limited slightly to shooting electric from his hands. Can imagine a fight with him vs Spider-man.

Vulture looks epic too. Love the idea of him and i would have liked to see more aerial battles.

The villain-tech idea... i could actually see working to an extent. Peter wouldnt have left the glider. I cant see him using Ock`s tentacles as they are fused to Ock`s spine... I can see him using the goblin tech to help him become more aero-dynamic though. Not in the way of a glider.

The wrist shooter design i would have liked. It would have made fans more acceptant of the whole organic web shooter idea if he used technology to make his own web shooters too. Maybe having him lose the ability to create webs as a plot point so he made them using technology.

But the Octo-Goblin crap...good lord that deserves a thousand facepalms. If Venom and the symbiote didn't end Raimi's series, I'm sure this would have. He doesn't need to use old villains mechanics to defeat another.

He did use New Goblin's bomb on the symbiote at the end of SM3... Could've been a precursor to this (frankly idiotic and disastrous) concept.

Like many have said, Vulture looks amazing though. Here's hoping he and Electro feature in ASM2!

Anno literally manufactured a debate over a non-argument from nowhere. I'd mock, but it was quite impressive.

The Octo-goblin stuff is not only for the toy but the film itself. Personally i dont like the idea of Spider-man being able to fly though i wouldnt have minded him taking apart or reworking the 'GG2' glider.

The webshooters would have been nice and the designs for the villains was awesome. Its likely the whole idea of Felicia hardy as the vultress was just something that got muddled in by some reporter I`m kinda dissapointed now that we wouldnt have scene Vulture or Electro.

Could have set up nicely for the Sinister Six with the surviving Sandman and Venom Symbiote from the third film along with Dr. Connor looking set to become the Lizard.
