I know you said you would rather do GR2 before moving onto another Marvel character. WHEN the second one gets made who would you like to see as the main villian. There are way to many for me to choose from but Blackout would be one I'd like to see in the movie, even if he isn't the main villian and I'm sure Scarecrow would not appear due to the batman film.

In regards to the songs, they have yet to be finalized but you can expect classic and heavy rock. I made some great friends in Melbourne, Australia in the band Spiderbait and they'll be doing a track for the flick as well.

Thanks MSJ for coming by so soon after the news, it really does take the edge off. I especially liked confirmation that hard rock will be used instead of some other styles that had been discussed, also the apparent detailed marketing plan being formulated.

I just hope that most of next year isn't like the last few month, as in, nothing happening, and deafening silence on GR news.

I knew it! I knew the bike was alive or organic just by the look of it. It looks like the bike will have some heavy CGI tweaking with it as well. When I first saw the pics of the bike way back when I posted that I thought MSJ was up to something like that.

It looks to me that Ghost Rider will be more colorful (though dark) with a lot more subtle humor from Nic Cage than Christian Bale could for Batman Begins. I just pray there's not any or too many 80's one liners. LOL

I'm also curious if Ghost Rider is going to talk or let his actions do the talking. That's probably a tough voice to do without sounding corny. I also am hoping he can make some cool demons unlike Goyer's Dracula which was a B-Movie joke.

MSJ already confirmed awhile back that GR will talk by saying something along the lines that he heard what the sound people had done w/ Nic's voice for the GR character. got the impression that he will sound completely different from what Cage normally sounds like.

BEfore i continue , i'll say this. It's great to have a director who respects the fans and actually talks with them. So kudos to you MSJ , YOU ROCK !

Anyhoo back to my questions


1 How fill the fighting style of Ghost Rider BE ?
Will be raw and hardcore or more stylised like martial arts . If you're going for raw , please MSJ. No nausea inducing MTV editing.......

2 For the sake of coolness , will you try to do impossible things with Ghost Rider or are you keeping the action more grounded to reality.
For example riding a bike verticallly and climbing a building

3 Was it you're choice to go more for a rock soundtrack then a traditional score . And would you also have included techno songs ?

4 I know that fire is one of the more difficult things to create in VFX.
But how will the fire look ? Will it be more in the lines of balrog creature in the fellowship of the ring , the storm in fantastic four ( didn't sony image works to do the fire effects on Johnny ) or like liquid fire ( the matrix reloaded)


5 Finally. Do you think that with the movie being pushed back to 2007 , it'll be better for the VFX schedule. I often get the impression that reason why the budget of many big VFX movies are so high is due to the fact that the VFX companies have to deliver their shots in a short while. You see that movies who take a longer time to work on their effects , tend to produce better results

Hey, if you ever go through this thread again, I just wanted to show my support.

I loved Daredevil. The theatrical cut was cool, but the Director's Cut was even better. You film the action sequences perfectly and I can't wait to see what you have in store with Ghost Rider. You can totally tell that you were a fan of the comics and Daredevil is one of the best, in my opinion, comic-book movies of all time.
You have a great visual style and when it came to DD, you just really got him perfect. Even though it looks like a DD2 will never happen, the first film is perfect enough for me.
I have no doubts about your ability to direct a comic-book film. Out of all the comic-book directors out there right now, I'd say you, Singer, and Raimi really are in the upper-echelon.

Don't take the criticism of DD or the skepticism of Ghost Rider too hard. You DO have a lot of fans and supporters out there, like me. And I know Ghost Rider is going to be a great comic-book movie because you respect the source material and you want to please the fans.
And movie success has taught us that if you do that, the general audience will see the coolness that the fans see and they will follow and love it too.
Keep up the great work and keep making these comic characters come to life.
