Nobody?

I really enjoyed it. Thought the artwork was EXCELLENT. Paulo Siqueira? Never heard of him, but he reminds me a little bit of vintage Mark Bagley.

I thought it was great! The art sort of reminded me of Todd macfarlane's art. Especially at some of the shots of Spidey.

The only thing that struck me as odd was Vin getting mad at Peter when he overheard Pete calling about a job. I mean, so what? Your room mate isnt allowed to get a new job if he wants?

Anyway, i kind of like Overdrive.

^^ Yeah, Overdrive's cool. It was also great to see Mr. Negative back.

Meh, I'll flip through it next chance I get at the store. It just doesn't interest me at all right now.

I thought it was great when twice Spider-Man kicked through the windows of a school bus full of kids showering them with glass, then from a moving vehicle he puts them all in a websack and throws them in the street. I also think Overdrive is great, and Marvel needs to take more character proposals from special needs twelve year olds.

Yeah! It would have been MUCH better if he had let the bus crash, and all those brats get killed!

:whatever:

He could've ripped the roof off, pried the doors open crawled down the front and stuck to the ground to slow it down. Not been written by a gaggle of hacks that Marvel ironically calls the Braintrust.

Still not guaranteed the bus wouldnt flip, or crash into something. I think Peter's decision was most logical.

If YOU ever get super-powers, do me a favor and stay as far away from me as possible. :cwink:

How would ripping open the roof or prying open the doors flip the bus? You're a shining example as to why it's so easy to pick out BND fans.

"Stuck to the ground to slow it down"

I've seen universal joints (which shouldnt be nearly as resilient as Peter's legs) flip busses and even smaller cars with relative ease. That would have spelled disaster, considering none of the children seemed to be buckled in.

Again; seemed to me like he went with the best course of action.

I enjoyed the issue. It seems the overall quality of Brand New Day is gradually improving (I didn't think it was bad to begin with). I thought both Slott and Gale's second arcs were significantly better than their first ones. I'm really looking forward to the return of John Romita Jr. Another thing I like about brand new day is the art. I think that the art has been pretty consistently good, even with the rotating artists. I am glad that they are beginning to flesh out the relationship between peter and vin also. It was good to see mr negative again. Overdrive seems pretty forgettable to me, but he served his purpose as just another henchman. I'm not entirely pleased with one more day, but I still find it enjoyable.

Aloha,
I enjoyed the look and feel of 564.Not an epic tale, just a good Spidey story with some new villains and good art and dialogue. I noticed on p.6, they spelled the bus at the bottom of the page SKOOL BUSS:woot:Taking into consideration that Overdrive was controlling the bus, and that Spidey was already in the bus,not sure what other course of action he could have taken to get the kids to safety.Spidey has made web cushions that have broken his fall from several stories.I'm sure that the amount of webbing used to put the kids into was enough to cushion them from the impact.I've seen pictures of children in school bus accidents where they were just bounced up and own and there were serious injuries. Anything that Spidey would have done that could have caused Overdrive to crash, swerve violently or brake suddenly, would have caused far more injuries than what Spidey did. Which ultimately, was successful and no child was hurt.Split second decisions regarding how best to save multiple lives in a moving vehicle aren't always perfect, but the job of saving lives got done.

Mr. Thomas I really respect you...
but sometimes some of you guys are too optimistic about "the new direction". as some fans are to harsh against it. I hope you understand what I mean...:csad:

Isn't that a wrong thing to do for someone who has dedictated his life to this "great power and great responsibility"-thing?

So is the same Overdrive, somehow cured of his "death," from the late 90s?

You still stick to the piece about sticking to the bus, and dodging the rest of my ideas. Must be fun being in denial, and forcing yourself to like this garbage.

If Spider-Man Brand New Day was a young teenage boy, I'd tell John Wayne Gacy where it waits for the bus to go to school every morning. I'd also go to bed every night listening to the tape of it being tortured.

Must be fun thinking i actually care what you think. :woot:

Another thing i really liked was the storytelling from three different POV's..i thought that was unusual for a Spidey comic, but it worked well.
