I just started picking up the Wolverine and Wolverine: Origins comics and was wondering where ol' Wolvie fits into the Astonishing series time wise? Is it suppose to be taking place at the same time, earlier, or later as the Wolverine series?
I'd say it takes place immediately after the events of Decimation or a little before the events of Civil War. But really, it almost makes more sense to imagine it in its own little universe.
I wouldn't try to put Wolverine in any sort of logical continuity, to be honest...
Well Wolverine is currently a Civil War tie-in, and they did mention in Civil War #1 about Wolverine threatening to kill the president, which im assuming happened in Way's Origins and Endings story arc, so they're set pretty close to the greater MU.
Im guessing Astonishing, as of #13, is taking place after Decimation but before Civil War. But I doubt Whedon's gonna make any mention of the greater MU so you can just choose whenever you think it takes place
Yeah, don't bother figurin' out ANY character's continuity what stars in multiple books. I mean, one month we had Wolvie in the desert, gettin' thrown into the sun and somewhere fightin' bad guys. Nigh impossible, I tells ya. Sure, the Marvel Chronology Project makes a valiant effort, but who knows if they're really right.
