At this point, could Batman even have a role in the SV verse?

If you read some of the early Green Arrow comics and compare them to the original Batman writings, they were practically the same person. Green Arrow had all the stuff Batman did, playboy millionair but also a hero, gadgets, ward/sidekick, and heck, he even had an arrow mobile.

What I'm trying to say, is that even with Green Arrow, yes, Batman would still have a place in the Smallvilleverse.

Yes...I already know that GA used to be Batman. However...in SV, not only does GA have a "motivated in part by revenge for his parents" origin, he also has a kryptonite ring, and the smarts to organize a network of costumed heroes....even when he ripped off Batman, GA wasn't like this...this is all more batman's territory. I guess they could still coexist, though.

Well it is safe to say the Smallville produces are using Olliver to channel some of the things they would have done with Bruce if they were allowed to use him.

That's pretty much a given.

but that shouldn't mean Bruce can't exist in this version of the DCU. Bruce might come in and do thing similar to Oliver but he will be doing them better.

Yea it does suck we couldnt have batsy But that is all WB film division's fault. They dont think having two live action bats would work out well, dont want to step on nolan's toes, etc.......

I thought pretty much every superhero besides Superman has his/her own special vehicle - WW's invisible plane; Batman's car, plane, and motorcycle; Robin's sidecar (and sometimes his own motorcycle)...

Not having Batman is a missed opportunity. I don't think batman fans will care if there are two going around. Look what they did with Superman Returns. I could see if it was two films but it's two different mediums.
