Avatars are displaying even if turn them off

A lot of people have spoilers in their avatars and the feature to turn them off no longer works as I can still see them.
This needs fixing as I have already seen several spoilers in people's avatars.

Fixed. I think. Guessing it was never re-implemented after the theme update.

Let me know if something breaks horribly.

Fixed for individual posts but avatars in thread titles still show.

I don't think that was ever disableable.

They might be off by default on mobile but I'm not sure.
