Avengers, Assemble!

If you were working on a project for Marvel's Avengers, which characters would you use, and why? What is your Avengers lineup?

This is a "New Avengers" line-up. I'd probably go with Songbird in Wasp's place if things were still the way they most likely will be Post-CW.

I like big rosters for superhero groups and I see the Avengers as Marvel's Justice League (which technically it is), I'd like all of the big names that aren't X-Men or Fantastic Four in the Avengers.

Well I think you need Captain America, and after that it's pretty much up to you, so I'd go for:

I think they'd be a good mix, and it leaves Iron Man and Thor out to be primarily in their own books and not simply as cogs in the Avengers machine.

Captain America-strategic leader and moral focal point

War Machine- Like Iron Man but different

Spider man- his sense of humor worked better with people to bounce it off of plus is science background came more into play then just being a teacher.

Luke Cage- keeps the team grounded

Ms Marvel- good to have in a fight. Powerful and battle intelligent.

She-Hulk- all the good of the Hulk with none of the bad

You've got three scientists, two gods, two Hulks, a psychic, Dr. ****ing Strange, cosmic powered guys connections to the underworld and assassins, the entire core Defenders, groups within groups and the sweetest hero in Marvel's stable, Spidey. It'd love to see someone worthy of taking down all these badasses.

The Hulk, Thor, Hercules, Namor, Doc Strange, and Silver Surfer on the team.

It would be the most awesome overkill ever. It would be the Defenders with Thor and Hercules. And in the first issue they would kick the Sentry's ass.
