The Avengers AVENGERS Post-Screening Reactions - NO SPOILERS!!!

Also, I don't think it really needs to be said but that dude is definitely a troll. Just take everything he said and think the opposite of that. Iron Man gets a good chunk of the wit but it's nowhere close to being his show.
Good. That's one of the things that could have killed it for me, personally.

The fact this is coming from you of all people Bosef shocks the hell out of me. :wow:

It's just amazing. It's everything I've always wanted in a comic book film, period. Like someone said, it's like watching a comic book on screen.

I loved that about it. It was VERY balanced, with maybe Cap/Hulk/Widow being a bit more front and center.

You can always spot the moronic trolls by the score they give films

2 stars they give Avengers, which is utter BS and we all know that

Maybe once we seen it we might not be as impressed as others, might get a 6 or 7, but 2 is MORONIC

I am not a Dark Knight fan, but I still give it a 7/10 as it has some good moments and a brilliant Health Ledger character, it is clearly not a 2/10 is it?

I loathe tdk, but even I acknowledge there's enough well done in it to give it no less than a 5/10.

I liked Begins much more as well

Imagine Begins + Heath Ledger character

Now THAT would be an awesome movie

Two people on tumblr said this is the best movie of all time... take that however you will

These are very good news. Nice to hear that you all love the movie.

5 days for me now - can't wait!

BEST MOVIE EVAAAAR and WORST MOVIE EVAAAAR

I never take their opinion seriously :yay:

I could be wrong but I honestly feel that this movie will shock a LOT of people with it's box office performance. I mean significantly more than 1 billion.

There's sooo many things that are just falling into place perfectly for it.

I think the movie is stunning. It has it all. The humor, the action, the heart and the suspense. Its a great movie and I personally, put it ahead of the Dark Knight. I loved the Dark Knight, its a great movie but I felt the Avengers left me very satisfied and wanting more. I can't say enough about this film, Joss Whedon did a hell of a job.

I would give this movie a solid 9.5/10

You love the Dark Knight and think Avengers is EVEN BETTER!? :wow:

So imagine how much I will like it considering I was not much of a fan of Dark Knight

Will I collapse from multiple Nerdgasms? :yay:

all the positive reactions makes me think wat the RottenTomatoes rating is...

I love Marvel movies AND Nolan Batman. Am I the only one?

Apparently it's impossible and you are an anomaly.

I believe in bosef, I trust his opinion so this is actually sounding better than I thought it would be. I seriously doubt it could ever top TDK for me, but if it's even being mentioned in the same breath, this looks like something that's gonna wear out my bluray player for years to come.

Hahahaha. You said it best, Sharky.

I am not a fanboy of either, probably because I am not a comic book reader an so the Marvel/DC rivalry does not exist in my head

I just like/dislike movies according to my own personal taste

As I said in the other thread, in general there are two types of "good movies".

There are the movies that make you say in your regular speaking voice: "Damn, that was great." These movies aren't necessarily the most entertaining, but are the best made. The acting, writing, directing, etc. probably couldn't be better. You spend the rest of your life thinking about it, and what it means, what the subtext of it was. It's the type of movie that will forever, be discussed as a pillar of film making. At least some of the major people involved win awards for it, and those that don't probably can be considered snubs. This is the type of movie that TDK was, and probably the type of movie DKR will be.

Then there are the movies that make you want to yell out: "DAMN, THAT WAS AWESOME!" They might not be the best made, they aren't perfect, but they couldn't be more entertaining. It probably isn't one that will get major award recognition beyond stuff like Special Effects and such, but nobody would ever say that it's a Michael Bay movie (not if they want to breath, anyway)- the plot is good, the acting is good, etc.. Most of the MCU movies are this kind of movie.

Very few movies are both of these (Raiders of the Lost Ark, for example, or Aliens or The Wrath of Khan). I've heard some people saying that Avengers is one of those that crosses those lines. Does anybody who's seen it agree?
