Infinity War Avengers TEAMS and Team-ups POST-INFINITY WAR

With Mantis, an Avenger in the comics, being introduced in GOTGpt2, and Captain Marvel having recently joined the Guardians Of the Galaxy in the comics, I'm leaning toward the likelihood that Mantis will join the Avengers post-INFINITY WAR, and Carol Danvers may be with the Guardians in their third movie.

With that in mind, my prediction for the Avengers roster post-INIFNITY WAR is as follows...

Black Panther
Ant-Man
Wasp
Mantis

...and 2 from the following...

Falcon
Winter Soldier
Doctor Strange
Scarlet Witch
Valkyrie

Whatever the roster ends up being, I'm expecting Steve Rogers to be (ahem) "dead" and Wilson or Barnes to take up the Captain America title, with the pair staying as a duo either within or separate from the Avengers.

What team roster and/or team-ups are people expecting to see in Phase 4?

Captain Marvel is no longer with the Guardians in the comics, and James Gunn already said he doesn't want to have anymore humans on the team any way. She is likely going to be part of any New Avengers line-up at the end of this.

As for team-ups with the movie I just need a gag referencing this group:

I read that Wasp definitely wasn't in INFINITY WAR but we could get something close (check out the other thread i posted re:teams IN Infinity War).

Okay, didn't know what the current status was with CM and TGOTG...

I don't think Captain Marvel will join the Guardians purely because of the power disparity. It would be like Superman teaming up with the Suicide Squad. The latter would be mostly redundant.

Hmhm... I think Steve and Vision will be dead, and Tony maybe as well. Anyway I really think he'll retire (more or less) permanently and take on the consultant role, he was supposed to have from the start, should he survive...

Doctor Strange I guess was established as an entity beside the avengers... So considering how 'the Avengers protect earth from wordly threats and Doctor Strange protects it from threats from different dimensions', I assume he's never going to really join the avengers but be somewhere betweeen reserve and ally.

I don't think anyone will actually take the shield... It's kind of a reoccuring thing in Comic books to not let the legecy die with the character... but I don't think it will work with the movies. Even in the Comics I always think it's weird. In the MCU I don't really get the feeling that the World needs Captain America... The World needs the Avengers sure... and the Avengers need Steve Rogers... but do they need Cap... So if Steve dies, I don't really think they'll give the shield to somebody else. Least of all falcon, because it would be somehow a downgrade... Falcons skillste for a 'non enhanced human' is way more interesting than Cap's. So if anyone they'll probably use Bucky for it... But it would just be weird...

Spiderman I think was already said, will not be part of the MCU after infinity war, so that's that.

And I don't really want to speculate on characters like Mantis and Valkyrie who's role in the MCU we don't really know yet...

I think the most likely death is Hawkeye.

Vision I believe will either become the new wielder of the Infinity Guantlet or die destroying it, and thus "ascend" out of the team. I also think that we'll see Quicksilver resurrected by Thanos in Avengers 3 or 4 as some sort of bait for Scarlet Witch. If this happens, I think he'll be back on the team. Hawkeye may even give his life to let him live. Would be a nice way to handle his return.

Iron Man, Steve Rogers, Thor and Hulk are not going anywhere. All the actors are able-bodied and seem to want to continue. The fans certainly want them to as well, so it'd be crazy to kill them off.

Avengers: Iron Man, Black Panther, Thor, Hulk, Scarlet Witch, (Quicksilver?), Ant-Man, Wasp and Captain Marvel of course. Doctor Strange, Spider-Man, and members of the Secret Avengers will show up occasionally but will not be core members.

Secret Avengers: Steve Rogers, The Winter Soldier, Falcon, Black Widow.

These guys were a big part of The Winter Soldier film and I think we'll continue to see Captain America movies tell their story. If the shield survives to Phase 4, I predict Bucky will be wielding it instead of Steve. Falcon might also get his red, white and blue costume. Basically, these will be the guys that continue to ignore the Sokovia Accords, allowing them to do what the Avengers cannot, but also forcing them to stay on the run. I do not think they'd ever directly fight with The Avengers after what happened in Civil War though.

I also think, post-Infinity War and Homecoming, we'll see Spider-Man switch sides like he did in the comics. He'll support Captain America and therefore be on the run. Also having a secret identify makes him a "public menace." But his costume fits right in with all the patriotic colors!
