I like the idea of them doing something with Genosha instead of it being a hole in the Earth. I'd like to see it fully rebuilt. A ton of great X-Men stories came out of that place.

Remender has been very shaky though. I'll give it a shot because it's him but I'm gone at the first sign of trouble.

Hopefully they bring Elixer back, wasn't Genosha the last place he was seen? During X-Necrosha?

What's Remender been shaky on? Everything I've read (Uncanny Avengers, Uncanny X-Force, Black Science, Winter Soldier: The Bitter March) I think has been very good. Though I haven't read any of his Captain America or Deadly Class.

Uncanny Avengers has been really drawn out and sloppy. He killed off a bunch of people and it had zero emotional punch because we all knew they'd be back....and they are.

Captain America has been majorly boring.

The last big X/A thing was utter crap so I'm avoiding this until it's over.

Well at least this is a team up and them not trying to kill each other.

They're still going to fight half the time anyway.

I'll read it since I enjoy Uncanny Avengers to an extent. I don't trust it though lol.

This seems rather generic...at least Original Sin had a swanky 70s Sterenko vibe..not sure how I feel about onslaught skull stuff either...

This. Not a fan. I'm thinking his X-Force run was a fluke.

He had outstanding runs on X-Force, Punisher and Venom. I think the problem is that he got away from what a Captain America comic is all about and the story in Uncanny Avengers can't be taken seriously when there's 4 other Avengers books and every character he uses is seen somewhere else on a weekly basis. It got watered down quick. Putting John "Slowpoke" Cassaday on the launch got things off to a shaky start to boot.

i guess im in the minority here, im a fan of remenders recent and past works, especially his cap run and uncanny avengers.

I just got back from my shop, i had to make sure all my x and avengers books were on it along with axis. Im really excited for it, im really looking forward to it. The whole idea of things getting flipped upside down has me really excited.

Although, as far as the red skull, i hated the fact that remender took xaviers brain and put it in red skulls, some things are a bit much

i really get bothered when "fans" say a writer didnt capture what a cap comic is all about, that statement sounds so stupid to me. Apparently what every crazy fans personal idea for a character is the only acceptable one.

I'm not gonna lie, this event looks fantastic.

Sounds okay to me. I do like that each act of the event will have its own theme. But I'm in the camp that's wary of Remender after his recent work. He has interesting (if not always good) ideas, but his execution of them can go from really excellent to really terrible, sometimes within the same friggin' issue. It's kind of exhausting to read his comics long-term because of that.

I'm right there with you. I enjoyed Uncanny Avengers a lot and I'm looking forward to this event!!

I was really pumped for this event... until I realized that it was a 9-part series shipping three issues a month at $3.99 each. Damn it, Marvel.

A hero suddenly becoming a villain for no reason? It must be an event!

I will say that this is one of the more interesting sounding events for a while. I love Onslaught as a villain and find this Onslaught/Red Skull/Xavier hybrid as an interesting idea.

Two words: NEW COKE

Make a new product so bad that people clamor for a return to what works. Maybe the books being crap now will make fans appreciate even a return to mediocrity?

PREVIEW OF AXIS #1

http://www.newsarama.com/22009-first-look-avengers-x-men-axis-1.html

so it kinda looks like Thor [BLACKOUT]loses his flight and his thunder without Mjolnir[/BLACKOUT] which is very unfortunate because once again the movies' influence messes with established elements in the comics
If it's an official preview, you don't really have to spoiler-tag it.

As for Thor: flight I can understand--besides, he's still got his goats, who can fly--but if he's lost his weather control, that's a load of bootysnacks. That's his inherent divine right, goddamnit. But we don't actually know he's lost that yet. He could just not be using any weather control right that second.
