Surprised there isn't a topic about this series.
I just recently bought a couple of issues of this series and ebayed the rest to get myself up to date. It seems like it started off really well. The first arc was fun and enjoyable, great action and a classic villain portrayed in a different way. All in all, a fun story. Since then it hasn't really continued in that vein as I expected or hoped.
I enjoyed the Hawkeye and Captain America stories to an extent but did feel that they lacked a certain something. I'm sure those stories were shoe-horned thanks to the release of a certain movie but I could forgive, particularly the Captain America issue as it did at times make me smile.
Since then, a lackluster crossover with Daredevil and Punisher probably put me off those books more than got me into them and an amusing but kinda shallow She-Hulk issue have just continued the trend of ever decreasing enjoyment for me.
Having #8 tie in with EotE makes sense for Marvel I suppose but I desperately hope that with #9 onwards this series gets back to how it started.
What are everyones opinions on the series so far? Did anyone actually enjoy the Omega Effect?
