Awards/nominations?

I mean, Malek did give a real transformative performance as Freddie Mercury. It's worth seeing the film just for him alone.

Though I've yet to see the other films, so I couldn't say how Willem Dafoe, Lucas Hedges, John David Washington, and Bradley Cooper stack up compared to him.

Can't say about the rest but Washington is excellent in Blackkklansman, he's got some big shoes to fill if he wants to have the same sort of success as daddy Denzel but performances like that definitely put him on the right track.

DGA Noms. Best Picture Winner comes from this category.

BP still has a chance in the technical categories.

I love that this thread started on MTV and People’s Choice Award nom speculation. What a road it’s been.

I've not seen some of the other films, but have seen A Star Is Born and Bradley Cooper was superb in it. I was also very impressed with Lady Gaga. Great film and a great soundtrack too.

I have to admit when this film was first announced, who knew it would be the first MCU film to win an Oscar. Three statues for BP, great job and well deserved.

Of the awards they were nominated for, they won in the categories I thought they had the best arguments for. Carter, Beachler, and Goransson all did incredible work on BP.

Congratulations to everyone involved in the film! Finally some Oscar bling for Marvel Studios!
