The movie human torch looked acceptable, but the look basically yelled and screamed "CGI! CGI!"

It would've been nice if they'd have gotten a look like the pic above so it wouldn't have taken me out of the movie quite like it did.

well to be fair fire is one of the hardest things to generate in 3D and i think they did a great job with him (he's the only reason i can watch the movie).

That's an awesome image! Great coincidence. I to agree with everyone, though, that would be too dark and sinsiter a look for a Fantastic Four Human Torch. Sorry, random havoc

However, it does look REMARKABLY similar to Alex Ross's classic Human Torch from Marvels. Not the best example picture, but you get the idea.
