The DLC package will contain four new stages with four bases from Azure Striker Gunvolt, Mighty No. 9, and GalGun. It will cost $2.99.

Back when they announced Mighty Gunvolt, Inti Creates said that they would release downloadable content for the 8-bit platformer. This week, we revealed just what this DLC is, and how much it will cost.

The DLC package will contain four new stages with four bases from Azure Striker Gunvolt, Mighty No. 9, and GalGun. It will cost $2.99.

The interesting part is, two of these four bosses are from Mighty No. 9, and they’ll actually make their first appearance in Mighty Gunvolt, since Mighty No. 9 isn’t going to be released until Spring 2015. In case you’re wondering, the two bosses in question are Mighty No. 1 and Mighty No. 7.

The other two bosses are from Gunvolt and Galgun. Elise will represent the Gunvolt side of things, while Mr. Happiness from Galgun will be the representative of that game. You can read more about all four bosses and their stages on Inti Creates’ new English website.

Additionally, the studio has also announced that Mighty Gunvolt is getting a free version 2.0 update with a few balance tweaks on November 28th. This is the same day that the game will stop being offered for free alongside Azure Striker Gunvolt, and will become a standalone title that you can buy for $3.99.

Inti Creates Translating Azure Striker Gunvolt Side-Stories. November 22, 2014 . 12:31pm

Inti Creates have gone to the effort of translating the Gunvolt side-stories they’ve been featuring in their “Interactive Wave” YouTube programs.

If you’re a fan of Azure Striker Gunvolt’s world, you might enjoy this: Inti Creates have gone to the effort of translating the Gunvolt side-stories they’ve been featuring in their “Interactive Wave” YouTube programs into English.

The side-story is titled “Fleeting Memories”. It was written by Toshiaki Tai, the scenario writer for Gunvolt, and goes into some of the extended lore in the Gunvolt universe. Chapter 1 is available here, and Inti Creates say they’ll make a new chapter available for reading every week.

Additionally, in a separate post on that same website—which now serves as Inti Creates’ English-language site for Western fans—the developer says it wants to maintain a constant line of communication with its Western audience.

Fight Mighty No. 9 Bosses Now In Mighty Gunvolt. November 28, 2014 . 1:30am

You can blast Mighty No. 1 and Mighty No. 8 before Mighty No. 9 comes out next spring. These two robots make a cameo appearance in Mighty Gunvolt.

You can blast Mighty No. 1 and Mighty No. 8 before Mighty No. 9 comes out next spring. These two robots make a cameo appearance in Mighty Gunvolt, a Mega Man style game developed by Inti Creates with Beck, Gunvolt, and Ekoro from Galgun.

Mighty Gunvolt’s first DLC package adds four new bosses and levels. Mighty No. 1, who looks like Fire Man’s second cousin, is waiting in the Factory stage. Mighty No. 8 (a cross between Sword Man and Shadow Man?) is in the Highway stage. Elise from Azure Striker Gunvolt is in Mighty Gunvolt’s Bio Lab stage and Mr. Happiness from GalGun is in the Gym stage.

The downloadable Mighty Gunvolt content is available now in Japan for 300 yen.

Azure Striker Gunvolt Sells 90,000 Units. January 8, 2015 . 10:31am

European release currently being rated for release, too.

Azure Striker Gunvolt has sold over 90,000 units across all territories it’s available in, Inti Creates revealed via the game’s official English Twitter account today.

Released in 2014 via the Nintendo eShop for 3DS, Azure Striker Gunvolt is a 2D action-platformer that has been to the Mega Man Zero series, which was also designed by Inti Creates. The game is currently available in the U.S. and Japan, and a European build is in the process of being rated by PEGI. Inti Creates are working to have the game released in Brazil as well.

Inti Creates have also teamed up with an apparel company in the U.S. named Level Up Studios to make Gunvolt merchandise such as t-shirts and hoodies available to American fans. You can find the merchandise here.

In celebration of the holiday season, Inti Creates announced that Azure Striker Gunvolt is having a 50% sale along with its 3rd monthly update that brings “Christmas Mode” to Gunvolt’s world.

Here are details from Inti Creates on the new Christmas Mode:

The world of Gunvolt has been transformed into a winter wonderland is this brand new gameplay mode! When you visit the opening stage, and the stages for Merak, Jota, Viper, Carrera, Elise, and Stratos, you will get to experience their stages in a whole new way! The weather outside is indeed frightful, but that’s OK because by the look of things, Santa must be a huge Gunvolt fan, because he is raining down presents for you to acquire! Of course, since it’s so chilly and snowy outside, the floors maaay be a teensy-weensy bit slippery

Keep your ears open for a new song too!
There will also be a dedicated Christmas Mode leaderboard too, so make you collect as many of Jolly Ole Saint Nick’s presents as you can, since this leaderboard will rank you based on the number of presents you can obtain! So, to recap:

• The world of Gunvolt is now a snowy winter wonderland!
• Collect as many presents as you can!
• Caution: Floors may be slippery
• New special background track for the themed stages

Azure Striker Gunvolt Gets A New Speedrun Mode In Latest Steam Update. December 28, 2015 . 7:30am

The latest update brings with it the Perma-Anthem Speedrun Mode,
in which you will have unlimited EP, air dashes, and air jumps.

Inti Creates have released the latest update to Azure Striker Gunvolt on Steam. This new update includes the Perma-Anthem Speedrun Mode, as well as leaderboards in conjunction with this new mode. The video below shows Perma-Anthem Speedrun Mode in action.

The difference between this new mode and other speedrun modes is that you have the Anthem power-up from the very beginning of each run. As a result, this gives you unlimited EP, air dashes, and air jumps. The drawback of this new mode, however, is the floors and ceilings of the level will be covered in one-hit kill spikes.

Azure Striker Gunvolt and Mighty Gunvolt are currently 50% off on Steam until January 4th, 2016.

Inti Creates announced through the official Twitter account for Azure Striker Gunvolt
that the game’s total worldwide downloads for the 3DS version of the game has surpassed 140,000 downloads.

Inti Creates announced through the official Twitter account for Azure Striker Gunvolt that the game’s total worldwide downloads for the 3DS version of the game has surpassed 140,000 downloads.

Since the game’s initial release on Nintendo 3DS, Azure Striker Gunvolt sold over 90,000 units in its first six months, and it hit the 100,000 milestone back in March of 2015, and 110,000 in April 2015.

Azure Striker Gunvolt is currently available on Nintendo 3DS and PC.
