Bad movies you really enjoy

Watchmen was a terrible movie. BvS wasn't great either, but it was better than Watchmen.

Watchmen has pretty much always been controversial.

I like it, but I have loads of problems with it as an adaptation.

I never liked Watchmen, but thought it was generally decently received by most.

The Transformers movies

I just can't help enjoying all that metal chaos.

Nothing But Trouble

This movie is objectively terrible in every way, but I watched it on HBO a lot growing up, and my brothers and I loved it.

Street Fighter, Mortal Kombat
Sharknado (altho that's intentionally bad)
Jurassic Park 3
The Twilight Saga
Alien Vs Predator 1 & 2
Freddy vs Jason
Daredevil, Ghost Rider 1 & 2, Green Lantern, almost all other marvel/dc movies that people consider "terrible"

Mortal Kombat Annihilation
47 Ronin
Punisher: War Zone
Resident Evil Apocalypse

The Final Sacrifice
This Island Earth
Cave Dwellers
Quest of the Delta Knights
Soultaker
Space Mutiny
Prince of Space
Zoolander 2
Freddie Got Fingered
Tomcats
Road Trip
Conan the Destroyer
Taffin
Catman in Lethal Track
Dungeons & Dragons
Hamlet with Ethan Hawke

New Best Friend, an thriller starring Mia Kirshner as an poor law student who takes over her school's wealthy in-crowd, Fatal Attraction style (with college lesbians and Nolanesque flashbacks).

Tart, featuring Dominique Swain and Mischa Barton. I couldn't actually tell you what the film's about, mostly because it doesn't seem to know itself, but I really love it, for some reason.

The Smokers, with Swain and Busy Phillips as members of a girl gang who take to raping male fellow college students to avenge themselves on all men. Problem is, the men like it.

This Island Earth
Really like this too.

A number of those movies are better than their reputation, I don't consider them bad.
  1. Mortal Kombat movies (the first one is good)
  2. Judge Dredd (it's a good movie)
  3. Street Fighter (it's a good movie)
  4. Superman III and IV (III is ok, IV is a mess)
  5. Batman Forever (quite good)
  6. Batman & Robin (not bad)
  7. Rocky V (not bad)
  8. A Good Day to Die Hard (not bad)
  9. Knock-Offs
  10. Spider-Man 3 (not bad)
  11. The Amazing Spider-Man 2
  12. The Phantom (not bad)
  13. The Quest
  14. Kickboxer
  15. Lionheart (yes, I'm a fan of Van Damme, thanks to Street Fighter, and I know this particular movie is pretty bad)
  16. Charlie and the Chocolate Factory (it's good)
  17. Captain America 1979 TV movies (why are they considered bad?)
  18. Daredevil (the director's cut is good)
  19. All Punisher movies (only War Zone is bad)
  20. Steel

Doom
The Brothers Grimm
Chronicles of Riddick
Predators
A-Team
Exodus
Alexander
Counselor
Once Upon a Time in Mexico
Troy
Savages
Hansel and Gretel Witch Hunters
Alice in Wonderland (Burton)
2012
Dark Shadows

There are others but those are the ones that come to mind.

I don't think it's bad, but I really like the first Paul Blart. Lol. Second one was truly terrible though.

Also I really love the Pirates of the Caribbean series, but a lot of people like to hate on those

G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra
Ultraviolet
Aeon Flux
Resident Evil: Apocalypse
Resident Evil: Retribution

Bad is defined as what? Rotten on RT?

Star Wars Episode 1
Digimon The Movie
Blade 2
X-Men: The Last Stand
Amazing Spider-Man 2
Man of Steel
BvS

I honestly can't think of many bad movies I enjoy. Maybe I simply have very refined cinematic tastes. :o

Seriously though. The following are more mediocre and divisive films than outright bad ones, but well, here they are:

- King Arthur: mediocre story and generic characters, but I'm a sucker for pseudo-historical movies, plus dat Zimmer score.

- Star Wars Episode II Attack of the Clones: exhilarating CGI-fest featuring one of the best worst love stories to ever be put in a movie. My favorite SW prequel.

- Pirates of the Caribbean At World's End: I honestly think this movie gets way more hate than it deserves, but whatever. The plot is a confusing mess but the characters are still enjoyable, the visuals and FX are fantastic and again, dat Zimmer score.

- Atlantis The Lost Empire: this movie's been largely ignored by both the general audience and the Disney fans, and I can see why. But the characters have lots of personality, Vignola's artstyle gives it a unique look and even the story has its merits. The climax is crap though.

- Thor The Dark World: I actually like this more than the first. It's not "objectively" better but it's more entertaining.

I don't think it was as bad as people said, but going on the general opinion, then definitely Sam Raimi's Spider-Man 3. I think it's a good, but flawed movie that I would still give a fresh rating to. It's just that it follows the best movie in the franchise, and that's always tough. I think the good outweighs the bad and for me the problems that other people have aren't as big to me as they are to others.

Waterworld is one of my guilty pleasures.

I also enjoyed:

The A-Team Remake
I Spit on Your Grave franchise
Dracula Untold.
Edge of Tomorrow
