Bad movies you really enjoy

I like X-Men: The Last Stand quite a bit. It's a mess, and objectively a really bad movie, but I think it's a fun watch.

I agree and I'll go one step further and say I don't understand all the hate it gets. Yeah, it made some dumb character choices with Cyclops and Xavier dying, but at the end of that day it wasn't that bad all things considered.

Van Hellsing. TBH, I think people are a little too harsh on that movie. I didn't mind the plot (the concept overall is a great idea), and I do find David Wenham to be a very underrated, underused actor (LOVED him in Lord of the Rings and 300, too, btw). But what really got my attention was the idea that Van Hellsing might actually be the Archangel Gabriel. That was an idea that fit the character perfectly and was the sole thing keeping him from otherwise being a Wolverine rip-off (b/c Hugh Jackman playing an ancient character with unexplained amnesia) The fact that this mystery was left unresolved STILL drives me nuts to this day! I wanna know: is he REALLY the Left Hand of God or was Dracula lying/nuts? I would help crowd fund a sequel JUST to see that answered!

I've confused myself now, thanks Vulcan!!! :cmad:
hehe hey! i dont know! all i know is that Troopers wont be winning the "Palme d'Or" at the Cannes film festival anytime soon!:cwink:
and yeah i liked Xmen last stand too i dont think it was nearly as bad as people said it was:cwink:. it had some cool moments in it that i liked.

I dug Van Helsing. It was just dopey 2000's blockbuster fun. I occasionally pop it in and play it in the background while I'm doing other stuff.

Gone in 60 Seconds - Remake with Nick Cage. I love this movie. Better car movie than any of the FnF series.
The A-Team - Another movie I love but panned by critics. Loved the show as a kid and think the movie did an amazing job bringing it to the big screen.
Bloodsport - Best Van Damme movie.
Police Academy 1 & 2

It's a not really terrible movie in a not particularly great series. I'd say its about on par with the first film at least.

Uggh. That movie is a horrible waste of a premise and just aesthetically speaking and in terms of effects is a time capsule of the absolutely worst trends of the time. Look up "Bad Movie Circa the 2000s" and Van Helsing should be the top entry.

A number of those movies are better than their reputation, I don't consider them bad.
  1. Mortal Kombat movies (the first one is good)
  2. Judge Dredd (it's a good movie)
  3. Street Fighter (it's a good movie)
  4. Superman III and IV (III is ok, IV is a mess)
  5. Batman Forever (quite good)
  6. Batman & Robin (not bad)
  7. Rocky V (not bad)
  8. A Good Day to Die Hard (not bad)
  9. Knock-Offs
  10. Spider-Man 3 (not bad)
  11. The Amazing Spider-Man 2
  12. The Phantom (not bad)
  13. The Quest
  14. Kickboxer
  15. Lionheart (yes, I'm a fan of Van Damme, thanks to Street Fighter, and I know this particular movie is pretty bad)
  16. Charlie and the Chocolate Factory (it's good)
  17. Captain America 1979 TV movies (why are they considered bad?)
  18. Daredevil (the director's cut is good)
  19. All Punisher movies (only War Zone is bad)
  20. Steel
I'll add other movies I like that people listed already, but I haven't.
  1. Fantastic 4 movies (the ones starring Captain America, those are fun)
  2. Terminator: Genisys (good first half, fun action nonsense later)
  3. Hansel and Gretel: Witch hunters
  4. Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter
  5. Buffy the Vampire Slayer (it has a Ben Affleck cameo, and one of the stars voiced Rick Jones)
  6. Man of Steel (It's a good movie, even with the unfaithful characterization of certain characters)
  7. The Incredible Hulk (one of MCU's best, why is it hated so much?)
  8. X-Men: The Last Stand
  9. X-Men Origins: Wolverine (the only movie in the series I'd actually call bad)
  10. The Transporter (made me a fan of Jason Statham)
  11. Safe (kept me a Statham fan.)

I honestly didn't know that The A-Team was considered bad. I just had to look it up to see that it is viewed as "rotten" by critics. I thought it was a really fun movie and among the most enjoyable films that came out that year.

Dracula 2000 - really liked the spin that Dracula was actually Judas hence his dislike of silver, and sunlight.

Super Mario Bros.

-- I'm sorry, but I think it's fun!

Van Helsing
post T2 Terminator movies
Daredevil
both Ghost Rider movies
Van Damme and Steven Segal movies

All three Punisher movies
Super Mario Bros
Batman & Robin

Planet Of The Apes (2001)

Other than some of the silly dialogue, i enjoyed this one too. Sad we didn't get a sequel with the cliffhanger and whatnot....

Van Helsing
post T2 Terminator movies
Daredevil
both Ghost Rider movies
Van Damme and Steven Segal movies

Big big fan of Segal's straight to video movies. Say what you want about the quality..they entertain!

Bats
Robot Jox
Robin Hood Prince of Thieves
Pump Up the Volume
Demolition Man
Cecil B. Demented

Uhm, Demolition Man is a bad movie now?
I think it's a pretty great 1990s action flick, and one of Sly's most memorable.

Spawn. Sucky effects and all i still loved it.

Armageddon, i love every character and every scene.

The Mummy love the indiana jones sense of adventure

Sahara. This should probably doesn't belong here as I feel its just a good film that was for some reason poorly received.

Cube 2: Hypercube - one of my favorite movies of all time.
