I have often wondered what those "lounge" threads, which I meticulously avoid, look like.
I suppose much like this?

Nope, they are even more nonsensical than this.I have often wondered what those "lounge" threads, which I meticulously avoid, look like.

I remember one member said something making it sound official, he said it's something he made up on the same page or one page later, and a mod gave him probationary ban for that
So what if the poster just created the account to spout off fake spoilers and insider info?
Ban everyone in the batboards. That'll fix it.
But the person in question was in the GoTG boards?
A regular member, made that mistake just one timeI don't know the particulars of the one you are talking about, there are several factors....were they a regular member with a history of posting without problems? or did they just come on, get a name, to make the claims? I don't know the discussion among the admins and mods in that that particular situation. But, as the FAQ states, it is discretionary.
Isn't putting "Banned Poster" in some way or form a bannable offence?I couldn't say without a discussion with the mods of that particular forum, admins, etc...
Bat boards AND Spidey boards AND anyone who posts in the Celebrity board's Jennifer Lawrence thread (cough*sjh*cough)![]()

A while back one of the admin's made a huge ass rant about it and that if you're screwing around with that, you shouldn't be surprised if you log in to find you've actually been given a probationary ban.How so?

Also a bit of a power abuse, no? I mean the sensor is there for a reason and bypassing the forum censors IS a bannable offence, which you are clearly doing. Just saying - bit of a double standard.

We can use "banned user" as a custom title now? I could have sworn it was censored.Um, the word banned, is not a censored word....so, no I'm not bypassing the censors.
Are you attempting to use ad hominem to belittle me in using a valid argument to expose a double standard?I don't know the specific incident you are talking about, but no we have nothing in our FAQs that talks about that specifically or otherwise, I would venture to say the person was probably doing more than just hanging around with it in their title.
Sure it wasn't you? You seem to have a very personal bit of trauma about this....lol
Instead of making an redundant point, shouldn't you have said "Bypassing the filter may result in either a warning or automatic probation. Repeated violations of this rule may result in account banning." instead?I changed it to make a point a while back that really it is not that big of a deal, and people shouldn't go crazy when someone has it as their title and start freaking out that they've been banned because it is very simple to do. I simply forgot about it...
Well yeah, acting asinine and getting hoity toity when someone raises a valid question about it can be power abuse. I'm going to drop this now because you're clearly avoiding civil discourse with your poor attempt at ad hominem and then using a "lol" to brush it off - quite passive aggressive.Power abuse???? seriously?
You should probably wipe your nose.We have a buzzkill alert.

Good day to you, madame.
