I think they should bring it back out for the 20th anniversary

Like TDK, but this would be cool!

I'd totally be up for a 20th Anniversary re-release of Batman. I remember going to see ET back in 2002 for it's 20th Anniversary and it was a lot of fun.

Warner Bros. could be desperate for more Batman money-making action, so who knows?

I, for one, would love it.

I was only 1 when Batman was released...I grew up on this movie. It would be a dream come true.

That would be outstanding. True story, Batman was my first love with the tv show, super friends, and coloring books. And BATMAN in 89 was the first movie I ever saw in theatres. Thus making me addicted to Batman. I'd love to see a re-release for the 20th Anniversary. It's still top three Bat-film of ALL-TIME. Debatable at the number two spot with Batman Begins. This would be a must for Warner Bros.

I would definately be up for it. Though I wont hold out much hope on this actually happening, but it would be very nice. I was about 7 when Batman 1989 was released, and remember the hype and the experience of seeing it in the theaters back then very well.

And yes, it was great.

I just read the messanges on that link.

If it is official, I would not be surprised if where shown on a few theaters.....

My theater wouldn't show it, (8 screens total. I just can't see it) but I'd go in a heartbeat.

I would much rather see this re-released then TDK

That would be sweet. I never got a chance to see it in theaters back in 89 because I was only 3 at the time.

I could be wrong but I don't think a re-release of Batman '89 is gonna happen. The only reason why E.T. and Star Wars was re-released was because new effects and new scenes were included in those movies. I don't think WB is gonna do the same for Batman '89 so re-releasing it would be kind of pointless.

I could give a flying f about the oscars (an award that has long since lost its ligitimacy) and wether TDK is up for one or not. I just want to see a good print of Batman 89 on the big screen instead of TDK because I liked 89 far better.

Yeah I enjoyed TDK (BB sucked a$$) but it was a lot like TIH where there is so much going on that you just have fun and enjoy it and let it get away with all its plot holes and character inconsistancys.

Well they pulled out all the stops for Blade Runner. Batman has just as much of a legacy and is one of their biggest money makers.

Thats a good one, it actually made me laugh!

It's true.

Try pulling yourself away from all the hype and the fact that its supposed to be "cool" to love TDK and actually watch the film.

That would be cool. I could only see it playing in a limited amount of theatres though, just like Blade Runner did. It would be great, because if it made money, it might get Warners thinking about getting Burton back to make his version of Batman 3 after Nolan completes his trilogy (hell, I would love it if Burton could make a bat-movie before Nolan's 3rd film comes out.)

He's too slow to keep up with it apparently. No one else had any problems. Beyond the hardcore fans who have happed it up. The masses have spoken. TDK = G.O.A.T.

If 89 came out again in theaters I think people would come out for it, if they did it on one weekend only or something.

it's okay to have a differing opinion. don't condescend to people who disagree with yours
