with TDK coming this summer, will we see re-showings of Batman 1989 like with Begins?

I know there were some theaters that ran batman 89 and begins back to back in 2005, do you think they'll do it again?

I've never heard of that. I'd pay to watch Batman 89 in the theaters.

Agreed, that'd be pretty awsome. Watch all five films before TDK.

I'd pay for it.

me too. i really want to experience B89 on the big screen

Me too i was just to young to watch it in 89 and would love to see it on the big screen.

that would be cool. I never saw Batman 89 or even BR on the big screen.

Same with me, BF was the first one I caught, and I was still only like 7/8 when that came out.

BB is probably the first one I truly remember for all it's glory. B+R is a big blur to me, same with BF. I was just too young I think.

its sucks that most on these boards never got to experience 89 in the theaters, it was one of the best experiences of my life back in 1989. I never heard of any theater showing 89 when BB was released, its def a cool idea though.

Same here.

I was 7 years old upon seeing Batman 1989 in a local movie theater, and still remember it being quite an experience seeing Batman brought to life in such a different, and decidedly darker approach than what I had been, up to that time, used to seeing with Batman (Adam West tv series, SuperPowers cartoon). But it was the film that made me a hardcore fan of not only Batman, but superheroes in general. And I would absolutely love to see that film inparticular once again up there on the silver screen.

BF on the big screen was my turning point. I remember liking TAS whenever I saw it, but when my dad took me to see BF as a surprise, I was hooked. 13 years on and it's still got me!

Interesting. I loved the animated series much more. I still like the third film though. That said I remember liking "Batman" the series as a kid long before I saw any of the films including the sixties one (on TV as it's older than me). I think I'd still like the series but for different reasons now. However I think I'll always love the animated series (which I can't get Volumes 2-4 in my country :().

B89 and the others can be found playing in select theaters across the country at any given time. You just gotta keep your eyes open. There are a lot of theaters that have "retro" nights or older theaters that show nothing but older films.

Just keep your eyes open.

I think I was still too young for TAS before BF, I mean I was 6/7 when TAS came out, all I knew about it was that opening sequences of him on top of the bank.

BF was what hooked me!

It wasn't a criticism. And I was older. :)

No no, I didn't take it as one :) I just explaining that TAS was a blur to me, like literally I remember playing at being Batman using the beginning of TAS as my inspiration but it wasn't until BF that I was hooked. Man I had so much merchandise, it's like I had shares in WB!

Oh how have I wished theaters like those would one day be somewhere reasonably local to me.

I wasn't able to see the Nightmare on Elm Street 2006 re-release, or the Nightmare Before Christmas 2007 3D release. urgh!:cmad:

I didn't even know there was a re-release!

As a University film student I am hideously out of the loop with regards to cinema.
