Yeah, thought so. He'd have pulled it off. It just seems odd to me when Batman smiles, I'm not used to it.
And the BR smile was an ironic/ sardonic/ mocking smile, whereas in the B89 cut dialogue seems like a warm/ nostalgic one. We'll never know I guess.

I'm thinking, that instead of doing the Kilmer grin, his smile would have been more of an ironic smirk, if that makes sense at all.
