Watched a Machinima clip where they talked about the latest gameplay video, and I like the theory that the Arkham Knight might just be in Batman's head. Batman would unknowingly get exposed to Scarecrow's fear toxin, and that's when the game would go all Fight Club on us. With Batman fighting an imaginary foe throughout the majority of the game.

I don't know, to me it would be a cop-out. I think I would rather have Arkham knight being the joker (joking).

You joke, but if the Arkham Knight comes from Bat's imagination, I wouldn't be surprised if we see Joker under that helmet.

reminds me of that short story, and you get to know about both Batman and the Joker's worst nightmare. There were some really great short stories released in the 90's.

I'd actually like the twist. And it would explain how this character comes out of nowhere. Wearing a similar motif, being his equal, and seems to mock and haunt him throughout the entire game.

It could be a great story if pulled off well. Like when Slade haunted Robin in Teen Titans.

The only way for me to accept this kind of scenario, is that they use the LoTDK story Masks as an inspiration. It used this kind of concept brilliantly.

As someone else mentioned if Akrham Knight really were a manifestation of batman's psyche then it really would have the Joker under the mask.

Ok at the start of this pod cast vic of EPN.TV mention some stuff he played at an event just before E3 happens he's not spilling anything spoilery with Arkham knight. Just that he played the game there. and it sounds like this will fun. here it is (oh and they will doing twich game play vidoes like what others like

I hope arkham knight really is just arkham knight has if it was joker that would be basicly the same thing has batman orgins and if it was just some like ash it would bascily be the same thing some one pretending to be someone else like in clay face in city so really any thing like that I would not be shocked at all and would see it coming and be like again we did this already.

Maybe he's just a vigilante who got inspired by Batman and so he was similar to him under a different name in another city or country but feels he has surpassed his idol cause Batman will not kill and so that makes him weak,He came to Gotham and used the name Arkham Knight cause of the situation at AA&AC,He wants to kill Batman cause he feels he can be Gotham's future and other villains are just accidentally in the middle of it?

That'd be an interesting new character,There's been others like him in the comics but don't mean he can't be the next new similar guy
