Maybe it's because against my better judgment, I was hoping for more. I was hoping that we'd finally get a living, breathing Gotham City, with tons of civilians, traffic, random crimes, and a story that might actually span a couple of days. Then the first Trailer hit and it confirmed we'll basically get none of that.

I still think it's going to be a fantastic game, but I'm simply not hyped for it. I will get it, but I'll have an easy time waiting for the GOTY Edition.

I'd love the same thing. Thats my dream batman game. I'm totally happy with what we are getting though. AC was great and probably the best comic book video game

I've said this before, but what about a Hush/Long Halloween style storyline where you have to stop the mysterious villain and do investigation in the Batcave while also having to deal with the other villains and subplots, and it obviously takes Batman a long time to do this and can't be done in one day. That means you can explore the open world with a long campaign, with a lot do, while still having a main narrative to tie it all together.

the problem is rock steady never promised a city on the scale watch dog's provided us with city full of people always on the streets at all hours of t6he day or night and it's obvious their(rocksteady's) budget doesn't count for having that ether. and with what was told to EPN.TV they(ubisoft) actually had people from Chicago do mo-cap to show how people have special walking styles and personality's etc. which was alot of work extra effort there. we have to remember rocksteady wants to do things on their own pace and if they aren't ready to do some thing they have done before or don't want to, it's their chose.

They will only do what they are capable of and know how to do and if they have people that have worked on some thing like that befor they will add it in. if they don't have some one/ people that have worked on some thing like making a populated city and they still do that we'd have what happened in resident evil 6 and people the fan base and reviewers will be dog pilling on them for doing some thing they weren't skilled at cause they put in elements like the dead space head stomp on some thing similar to a zombies in that game and the game was shoddy cause they were skilled enough . among other stuff that game tried to rip off and failed.

there's are reason's Rock steady didn't do that and they are smarter then capcom for knowing better then to do that. you ether find people that have worked on some thin like that or don't bother. it just seems they couldn't find dev's that knew how to do that with a populated city or they just didn't want to head there, regardless they chose to do what they are capable of and it was with in their budget to do so too.

I'll accept what they have given us, I know it's possible they could added cool features if they just looked but this was their chose to make. and I'm fine with it.

Well they already have their out. Gotham City is being evacuated because of Scarecrow's threat.

That would be great. Especially the thought of doing mini games on the bat-computer to hack and decode and do investgative stuff.

I'm warming to the Arkham Knight batmobile. It looks pretty nice here:

Ugh! I just read this was delayed to next year which means 2014 is looking even more bleak. Anyone else read this? Theres like nothing coming out this fall except the usual annual staples of CoD and AC

It was odd that the gameplay trailer stated coming soon instead of the release date that the annoucement trailer had, still it's a bit of a bummer.

Wow, the delay is depressing news, to say the least. I literally bought a PS4 recently in preparation for this game's release in October...

It's for the best...for me. I wasn't planning on getting the PS4 this year anyhow.

Mortal Kombat X AND Batman: Arkham Knight in the same year? ****...

Its dissapointing that the only big PS4 exclusive this fall is Drive Club. AC Unity is on X1 and Destiny and CoD are cross gen. The fall lineup doesnt seem much different or better than launch which is also dissapointing

Ah well. We'll just have to wait.

The Batmobile looks like a complete beast, though.

We still have Lego Batman 3 this year. :awesome:

Watch Lego Batman 3 get pushed back as well.

BVS, AK, and Lego Batman 3 all pushed back on Batman's 75th Anniversary.

:o
