The thing is, Rocksteady has the power to whack on the breaks... WB Montreal didn't.

Does any game come out on it's announcing 'release date' ever?

Given how amazing the past two RS Arkham games have turned out, I think the delay is the good thing personally.

On October there's Alien: Isolation and The Evil Within, also with my brother getting Dragon Age we've got our hands full so I can't complain.

Yes to both of these. Plenty of games to keep me occupied in the meantime and the delay is good RS will make an amazing game we all know that. So I'm good :woot:

I was right about the delay... From like 3 months ago, What do I win?

Ummmm yes? Is this even a serious question, most games come out on their release date

Anyway, while the delay sucks October is PACKED. I was probably gonna have to skip out on Alien because I had decided on Batman and DA.. Now I can get both.

Evil Within can go stand in the corner.

That thing literally is a Bat Tank! Pretty depressed about the delay news, but there's not much you can do about it.

I'm calling Evil Within out of the corner to come party with me :oldrazz: Def grabbing that and Alien Isolation.

It almost seems like delays are part of the marketing plan of games as well these days. It happens so much.

Big game revealed.
Not so far off release date.
DELAY.

Idk, maybe next time just don't have a release date till you're absolutely sure you know it can be released.

Doubt it is on purpose. If it is it had the opposite effect on me for at least for Watchdogs. Had the game pre-ordered and was excited for it to be my first game on my PS4. The huge delay on it hit and over time I just kind of lost interest and never got it. I will probably get it eventually now only when I see a great deal on it.

That being said though I am still getting Arkham Knight day one. I am sure the delay is just to avoid the kind of bugginess the Arkham Origins had.

Wow & if Dragon Age gets delayed Im gonna get pissed

That Batmobile experience is badass and got me all giddy when checking out all the features of it.

I'm always letdown on delays of games I'm looking forward to but in the end I embrace them because they want their product to be at its best.

Dying Light
The Order: 1886
Driveclub
Watch Dogs
The Division
The Witcher 3
Mad Max

And, I'm not even a 'gamer' and know of these...

COD never get's delayed because 3/4 of a new game is just a re-pixeled previous game.

Guys this is a good thing. Yes we have to wait longer for the game.

But this means Rocksteady needed more time and they are getting. Don't we all remember last year how buggy and flawed Arkham Origins turned out? We don't want that to happen with Arkham Knight.

This extra time means the game will have that extra layer of polish similar to Arkham City.

**** that, I wants instant gratification. :argh:

I have no problem for the delay; it means that I do not have to buy an Xbox One in October and can wait for another year.

I'm totaly fine with the delay. I'm sure this game will be awesome.
We just had an Arkham game, anyway. No rush.

yep they have more say it seems they're allowed to tell their boss's when they feel their prodoc isn't ready and they need more time to polish. though I wish a lot more studio's were allowed to tell the publisher boss's this or were given this power to do so we'd have a lot more better quality of games and that's if they are truly /actually polishing and not messing around or adding in unnecessary things that won't help it. other wise that's what I wish were the case. and this isn't the first Rock steady has done this the only difference is this delay is loner then the one they did for the first game.

But Rock steady has push back when they felt they need to so I'm fine with the delay.

Didn't they delay Arkham Asylum for a bit? Or was that only for PC?

Disappointed we won't be getting the game in October but I know it's beneficial in the long run, if it mean we get the best quality game. I just hope we don't have to wait too long next year.
