I hope the game looks that good when it's released. The polish and scale were incredible but you never know with staged demos like this.
That Scarecrow reveal totally caught me off guard, I thought the player was crashing lol. His new design is awesome, I didn't realize he was going to be the lead villain along with the Arkham Knight conflict. That was the greatest demo I've ever seen.
I agree. I think Scarecrow will be the main villain, and everything you just said about the Knight being a powerful hallucination. With the Knights goons really being Scarecrows goons."You are the product of everything you fear." I think I'm convinced now that Arkham Knight is a hallucination. I think everything he fears that he could become, manifests in the Arkham Knight, who haunts him throughout the game, blaming him for all his failures.
My one and only complaint is the lack of NPC on the streets. I find that to be completely jarring in an age where that should be relatively standard.
I know it's a lot to ask seeing as Rocksteady has multiple things to worry about in this game aside from populated streets but I really hope that's one of the reasons of the delay.
Seeing an unpopulated street in an open world game in 2014 is borderline unacceptable.
Aside from that everything is godlike.
Ah I keep forgetting about that. It won't bother me then I guess.
The game looks too freaking godlike to even get mad at something like that.

That was pretty much my train of thought on the matter.Even if we have an in-game explanation why there are no civilians on the street, it still bothers me. In Origins we had no civilians because of a blizzard. This time we have no civilians because the city has been evacuated. How often can they come up with a lame excuse, to avoid having a fully populated city?
Word.
That was pretty much my train of thought on the matter.
I can only imagine how many civilians will be ran over with how fast the Batmobile drives.
Another good point, and why would so many civilians be out at night when all this mayhem is going on.
The beginning of the demo takes place in a Wayne penthouse, I assume. The decking and railing of the building Batman walks out to is like the Titanic’s, much like this game itself. Grand and beautiful. The blimps in the sky are just too cool. So atmospheric, along with the rain. The depth of the diving is just insanely good, and the detail of the city is the best we’ve seen.... that's official.... we're now in the next gen. This is quite possibly the best looking game I've ever seen. Simply incredible.
Same. Political prisoners were a nice touch in AC though. If they add some victims of those gangs, not too much, I can see it as a nice addition. But not that necessary.I really don't understand people's obsession with populated streets in these games. Not once in the 2 open city games have I once given two hoots about citizens not being present. What exactly would you have said citizens do anyway?
