Batman: Arkham Knight - Part 2

Another good point, and why would so many civilians be out at night when all this mayhem is going on. The no civilians thing is perfectly fine and done right in these games. It should really be a non issue.

Anyways the demo alone gives off that epic finale kind of vibe, for me anyway. Watching it the scale of everything and the way it's all playing out. You really know that this is it. This is the conclusion to the awesome Arkham story.

Yup. Since the game's reveal a while back, I had the vibe of Bruce going all out in the final battle in this war against crime with the new armored Batsuit, Batmobile, and new gadgets. It's similar to Stark in IM3, where he kept creating new armor suits. Whereas in Arkham Knight, Bruce has been designing new tech and gadgets even with the Joker gone, crime at a lower rate, and the time gap since Arkham City leaving him uneasy.

I really don't understand people's obsession with populated streets in these games. Not once in the 2 open city games have I once given two hoots about citizens not being present. What exactly would you have said citizens do anyway?
bc it adds to the immersion. It doesn't make sense if there are absolutely no people on the streets of a city outside of the enemies. Imagine if any one of the Batman films had him out in Gotham and there was absolutely no one around. It would strike out as noticeable

yeah, I would prefer the city not to be empty this time around....

It's also a game and has technical limitations that a film doesn't have to contend with. Too often I hear people complain that a game should have this or that feature, well there's probably a good reason said feature isn't a part of said game and that's probably because it's freakin' hard to do. People have to be grateful for what they are getting and cut games some slack. I genuinely don't know how lack of citizens walking around doing not much can bug anyone to be honest, like who cares?

The people who answered you care obviously.

Also, you can love a gam, be a fan of its creators, and still have the right to voice your opinion about what could make the next one even better.

What limitations? Open world games like this have existed since the PS2 era and with NPCs roaming the streets. Its only improved and gotten expansive in the years since then. When other games feature it and Batman doesn't, its a glaring omission. We are in the 8th generation of console hardware. To say it cant be done bc of technical limitations is complete and utter bull.

Its not a make or break thing but if people can gush over little thing they like about a title, then I think its fair that others can be critical about other aspects. Hey this is rather minor in the grand scheme of things as there could be a lot bigger things to voice criticism over, which thankfully this game doesn't seem to have yet

Unless you've worked on the game you really can't say one way or the other what was too difficult to do.

anyway, why would rocksteady get a free pass when other games get nitpicked over smaller details than that?

T want this game so bad! That was awesome! Is it me Gotham looks like Schumacher's Gotham mix of Burton too?

Can you? It goes both ways buddy

I'm willing to assume those who make the game are far more tech savvy about what they can and can't do with the game they are making. I don't pretend to know what is and isn't possible because no two games are the same, that's why I don't care about such trivial things.

your whole point is kinda funny when one look at your sig :whatever:

The gameplay footage was orgasmic. The city, the Batmobile, Scarecrow.....words cannot describe how great they look.

My only little nitpick complaint is we have a new Oracle voice.

Gameplay footage

SWEET MOTHER OF ..... THAT WAS OUTSTANDING, Next-GEN here I come. The graphics blew my mind. THE BATMOBILE :hubba The gliding, the combat and of course THE SCARECROW !!!!! Next year once again Rocksteady will claim the title for game of the year.

If there were people in the streets people would be *****ing that too many people were in the streets messing up their Batmobile parts. I'd put money on it that random citizens would be most people's #1 complaint. Not now because people have yet to play the game.. but if the streets had Gothamites all around people would be annoyed with it when they played it.

The gameplay was perfect. I want nothing else from Rocksteady.. they've already made the perfect Batman game now in my eyes.

looks like Croc missed Crane up in Arkham Asylum and wahter happened to him in City has carried over into Arkham Knight

I've gone from ambivalent to officially pissed about the delay. Sweet cream on an ice cream sammich, that was amazing. I want this thing now! 1Q release, PLEASE.

Haha, just tell yourself how much BETTER this game is going to be because of the delay. Sweet mercy.

I already know I'll be keeping and playing this game for a long long time,Even more so than AC!

This and Uncharted 4 will be the reason to get a PS4.
