Azrael alludes to AK as "the ashes of Arkham". So he's been plotting against Batman since after AA and not AC.

So from that, who in AA could hate Batman enough to want to bring him down, and who has the money and power to acquire an army such as AK's?

your assuming he's in complete control & total control all aspects . but he can have backers/ sponsor's for resource's as long as he has what ever job he does done if he worked for Waller any one she knows that the same personality (as shown in JLU like that nutty general that hate meta human's ) as her, on some level he have all the support financially he needs. the same can be said for anyone that will support him and his men thus he doesn't have to be the one with the dollars all he needs is a sponsor's. and some military groups have that. I doubt he's independently wealthy him self if he has a military group.

That has to be the case. Because there is no character in AA that would have that kind of power to command an entire army.

hmmm the former tyger merc's. but this could another merc group or just some weird branch of the military that has some of them cause they needed some place to go. most of the others in the DCU are ether intell agency's or fed/ investigative like and half actually hire heroes the CBI, Checkmate, the DEO.
The only one that's overly military to a degree and being most recently used alot is Argus, and some how I don't think Waller is involved. cause every dies with her around .

The other former 3 well 2 agency's the (CBI & DEO) are actually good guys ones and can't stand Waller thankfully. And they don't do tanks. only the bad guys and nut case's that want war in comic's or in general use tanks or have them sent in which makes things all worse for every one .

No Not bane as AK. The south Americans VO in the trailer sounded like bane.
The leaked footage from a few months ago had AK dialogue and he didn't sound south American. He sounded pretty young and arrogant.

I wouldn't mind any of the following:

- Damian out for revenge, blaming Batman for his mother's death.
- Bane's shoddy Rocksteady characterisation redeemed.
- The Arkham Knight being a Scarecrow hallucination, with the army being Scarecrow's.

The army would exist and be Scarecrow's, him giving the orders. Batman has imagined people before in the Arkham games. Scarecrow could have mixed a stronger dose which brings out Batman's fears more realistically this time. The Arkham Knight being a twisted manifestation of himself.

Cause it can't be only batman having the hallucination which would also mean half of the stuff batman's doing he's not doing at all Gordan is seeing batman run around the city looking like a drunk .

Scarecrow may have been setting this plan into motion for a while. Batman may have reported to Oracle about encountering the Arkham Knight before. If Batman says he has encountered the guy, Oracle has no reason to disbelieve, nor the rest of the Bat family. They're just going on what he said, as with everyone else. Thus a massive army patrolling the streets is being associated with the Arkham Knight.
