New season pass details. I'll just leave this here...

The real question is whether the Burtonmobile will be drivable in the campaign. I'm guessing no, since they'd have to build a tank mode for it.

Did anyone get the Arkham Knight hardcover with the code for Batman Incorporated? If you're not using the PS4 code (i.e. you have an Xbone), I would love to get my hands on that skin.

All this detail.... and we have the same voice actor for every average criminal on the street.

Can you switch skins for the AR challenges?
Yeah, you you have to go to the showcase mode for the Bat family characters and select the skin you want.

Dunno if this has already been brought up, but if you switch skins during the campaign, it breaks the battle-damage mechanic--switching back to the default AK skin will result it in being pristine for the remainder of the campaign. Just a heads up to anyone who likes that mechanic (as I do)--you'll want to save the skins for your NG+.

So, I'd largely ignored most of the Gadget trees when spending my points, but after deciding to splurge from excess on NG+... these damn 'super' gadget takedowns are pretty fun; the ones where you hold the button on a full combo meter.

I found them to be pretty integral to increasing my combat high scores, especially since they removed the special combo stun from AC.

its already confirmed as a no

Yeah, I'm actually kind of baffled they didn't include challenge maps where you can pick your team like that. It feels like such a sure thing to include if you introduce a dual combat gameplay in a game.

What I'd want even more though is more of the dual predator gameplay. They could be so creative with that kind of gameplay. Make it more tactical, where you basically give the other character orders. You could use the other character to distract enemies, or set up traps, and of course take out enemies and so on. It could be SO much fun, and that could definitely be a new gameplay mechanic that could be of high value for marketing the game and make it feel fresh.

Since they're going to be selling the challenge maps (awful practice, imo), they better pack them to brim with features. All characters playable (Batman, Batgirl, Robin, Nightwing, Catwoman, Harley Quinn, Red Hood), every map from main campaign and DLC campaigns, dual play where you select your team, etc...

It definitely won't be. It's design is too different from the main batmobile, gameplay wouldn't be the same. The season pass did mention that there will several classic batmobile and special race tracks to go with them. That's where the 89 batmobile will be. If by some miracle it is playable in freeroam, I'll be astonished.

I cant beleive in this game they still try to pretend as if Batman doesnt kill

He doesn't. Thugs can apparently take a ridiculous amount of punishment in the Arkham series. I'm not reffering to the detective vision lying that they're unconcious which I've seen people joke about. If you look at them when their knocked out, you can see them breathing.

They're quite resilient. You can plow into them with the Batmobile at high speed, run back over their bodies, and they still live.

The whole "killing" conversation is a little bit silly, I think. There were three options in building this game:

1. Have thugs die when being run over, rammed, or shot by the car.
2. Have thugs miraculously survive being run over, rammed, or shot by the car.
3. Force the player to navigate around thugs for the entire game to avoid killing them.

Of those three, the second option is obviously the best, because even though it's unbelievable, it does not compromise the gameplay and doesn't force Batman to murder people in order to drive effectively through the city. Rocksteady did the most that could reasonably be expected by implementing the weird taser-thing that pushes thugs away from the car.

There's an article on Polygon speaking at length about how unbelievable this solution is. Well, yeah--but so are healthpacks in every single game ever. Saying it's a problem that thugs magically survive being run over is a lot like saying it's a problem that bullet wounds are magically instantly when you step on a first aid kit.

It's also not real, so that should probably key people into something.

All I have to say about the issue of realism surrounding the thugs is a line from Bob Dylan: "But they [the Hype posters] got a lot of forks 'n' knives. And they gotta cut somethin'."

You flat out run over people with your tank and can shoot them with missles. Its not like the previous games where you could suspend belief as he just knocks them out with fists

With the exception of the Schumacher and West films, Batman has killed [or caused circumstances leading to death]in every major live action film.

Where was this confirmed?

Seriously...it's just for the Burton challenge maps?

Welp, **** that DLC too.

I may have to take that back. I was listening to a podcast that seemed to ascertain that it was but after searching on Google, I couldnt see that come up in any of the links which announced the new vehicle. Guess we'll have to wait till next month for a definitive answer

I really hope it's not. That DLC was the only reason I haven't done my New Game +. It would be especially annoying considering it looks like the DLC only comes with 2 challenge maps. Why would I pay to use that cool-ass batmobile twice?

Stuff like the '66 Batmobile being just a paint job I understand, but there's no reason that the Burton or Tumbler Batmobiles can't have their own version of Battle Mode. Anything less would be another slap to the face for the fans.
