Stuff like the '66 Batmobile being just a paint job I understand, but there's no reason that the Burton or Tumbler Batmobiles can't have their own version of Battle Mode. Anything less would be another slap to the face for the fans.

Technically the car has two mode the Shield & Bat missile

Which basically was the inspiration for the animated series version in BTAS

The other mode on the 89/Returns Batmobile is the Bat-missile from Batman Returns

It seems there's an electric/concussive force field surrounding the Batmobile when you hit thugs so it doesn't kill them. Outlandish as it is, I appreciate the effort.

Concerning news guys...it seems that not only is the Burtonmobile limited to race tracks, but the skin as well! I might blow a vessel out of frustration if true.

The game itself is easily the weakest entry in the series, the season pass stuff doesn't help matters.

agreed, but the game itself is not getting worse because of it, it stays good, imho, but after the 4th tank battle i realized that it was getting repetitive

I can definitely believe that the Burtonmobile will only be available in its racetracks. That makes a bit of sense, since to play in Story Mode, the vehicle would need to ability to morph itself for Battle Mode.

As far as the B89 Batman skin, I have to believe it will be available for use in Story Mode and free roam. Otherwise, it wouldn't be advertised as a "skin". If it was somehow only available for the racetracks, then it wouldn't be a skin because the player would only be using the Batmobile...

I wouldn't panic just yet. I'm sure the Keaton skin will be playable.

And also, the Season Pass is (and will be) offering up some pretty good stuff. There's a lot more to come. I love the Batgirl DLC.

yeah that makes sense...btw wouldn´t be cool that they made mini stories like "Batman Retuns story pack" and make it : first stage: fighting section, second: predator mode to save the babies and the final one driving the batmobile while beeing controled by penguin

Yeah, I'm calling this BS. Where's the video in question? Where's a quote saying the skin won't be available in story?

It makes zero sense for the Keaton skin to be in races only. Batman doesn't get out of the car during races! When would we even see the skin if it was race track only? There would be no reason for them to do the work on an alternate skin if it was race only.

I think people are getting a little carried away with their disappointment in this game.

I feel like 80% of the disappointing in the game comes down to 2 things:

Batmobile

Arkham Knight's identity

Personally I'm fine with both.

If that rumor, however crazy, turns out to be true and the skin is only part of some race tracks, heck, or even just challenge maps, then I won't even get the Complete Edition, out of principal.
