Batman: Arkham Knight

Speaking of side missions, I don't know if I've just really have gotten better at tank combat or if the Batmobile armament upgrades stack in NG+ or what, but I am kicking some serious booty on the Campaign For Disarmament missions that were giving me problems on the original run. I took out that one on Founders (with the 48 bajillion enemies) like it was nothing... well, like nothing in comparison to how many times I had to replay that garbage the first time around.

I mention possible upgrade stacking because I swear my Drone Hack can affect 4 tanks instead of 2 now. Of course, I don't have a full grasp on all the exact nuances of the Batmobile combat system, so it's entirely possible nothing has changed in terms of capability. Also, I'm thinking the double 'lateral escape' move (which was an upgrade I didn't bother with before) helps... like, a lot.

Why does nobody point the blame at Amanda Wyatt and Sefton Hill for these decisions?

Conroy was fantastic in this game, with one or two moments that felt off due to bad writing and the developers desire to make Batman edgier. Conroy can only do what is asked of him.

Once again I'll post this video to show what voice actors are expected to do and how they are not only subject to the whims of the voice directors/producer but also that they have no choice which take they will use:

so true

Dini wrote better dialogue, that's all there is to it. Rocksteady knows the game mechanics but they ain't writers.

I haven't read any of the backstory stuff, but during that AK predator challenge, I was thinking that Batman's identity was pretty much blown to everyone in the room with all the babbling Jason was doing.

True, but still...it felt so extremely unemotional when he called him Bruce in the elevator and stuff.
Gordon and Batman had always a special friendship, you would think the aftermath of all that would be a bit more emotional...but no they throw it at your face like a wet cloth.

The Script, no matter if its bad or good, doesnt mean anything if you cant build tension...and rocksteady had often problems with that in the past.
WBGM had a messy and strange script for Origins, but they knew how to do cutscenes and build something up.

I admire Rocksteady, since Asylum they always said they want to give players full control, that is why you dont have too much cutscenes or action packed QTE moments...but what good does it to me when i can rotate the camera or walk around, when its an unemotinal scene instead of something strong.

You gotta hand it to Rocksteady however, they knew how to write certain side mission characters.
Blackfires Tapes, Firefly, Man-Bat. Pyg,
their dialogue, their storys and stuff, felt too short but good.
Their lines, before and after you catch them are very convincing to me.

Am I the only one who feels this was Conroy's best voice work since the DCAU?

I mean the first 2 games Batman was sort of emotionless and robotic. This game really got to showcase a lot of emotional moments and I felt Conroy nailed them.

I feel these games Conroy had great moments. honestly this is the only site I know that really nitpicks every single minute detail to the point of obscurity

It's strange how wildly inconsistent the writing and dialogue is for the game. In some cases it is absolutely brilliant, such as with Joker and Scarecrow (seriously, those two may have had their best characterizations EVER), but then it's also so lackluster and juvenile with the Arkham Knight and other stuff.

It's really equal parts brilliance and boneheadedness, which I think goes for the game as a whole.

That's what people on the hype love to do though. Nitpick every single little thing and complain. I don't think some want to even enjoy anything, seems they prefer hating things.

Does anyone know how to get back into the Arkham Knight HQ? I have 70 riddler trophies left and 20 of them are inside.

The areas are identifiable on the map; set a waypoint. Specifically, IIRC, one is at the entrance you create at that department store and the other has to be accessed near top of a construction site via elevator. I forget which is North and which is South.

Checking a YouTube walkthrough should highlight it pretty well.

I need to find the elevator, I've watched walkthroughs and everything. It's like it just vanished. :(

Same **** happened to me. I just happened to stumble across it when circling back for the trophies.

Thing is the Arkham Knight HQ has two different sections.

After you beat the main story mode, you can only get into one section using the lobby of that big city building. The other one you have to go in using the elevator of the roof of another building that is still under construction close by.

Goes for the whole series IMO, it's been equal parts amazing and corny from the beginning.

I say check out Batman Arkham Videos the guy or gal is pretty good. Good I meant great. Also as anyone played any of the DLCs such as Red Hood, Harley, Scarecrow Nightmare or the Batgirl one?

All but Scarecrow Nightmare. Red Hood and Harley are fun, but too short. Love Harley's gameplay. Batgirl I was more satisfied with than the main game, despite it being a little on the short side as well. Plus her gameplay is my favourite of the playable characters.

I haven't playe any of the DLCs yet, I'm still doing the Riddles/Trophies and side missions from the supervillains I got Firefly left he's not that exciting I wonder what to Victor Zsasz? I haven't collected any audio tapes are they in the bios?

I have an extra Batman, Inc. skin code for any Xbox One users that are interested in one. The first one to PM me gets it!

Has anyone found a way to view the objectives for the predator AR challenges? A bunch of them require you to take out the enemies in specific ways to get the wayne point and i cant seem to find a way to view them in game, only while at the menu. In Asylum and City you could view them in-game. If you can't here, that's just annoying. I always forget at least one.

What system are you on, I'm pretty sure on PS4 you click the touchpad. For X1 I would assume you'd press that select button or something.

In comparison between AA and AK, you can clearly tell how either age has caught up with Conroy, or just how much he doesn't give a **** about his voice work...

I disagree; I felt that Conroy's work in AA was somewhat flat, and over AC and AK improved considerably. In fact, I would argue AK is his best performance as Batman since Justice League.

Nuts! I have an Xbone but elected to play on PS4.

If anyone has a spare PS4 code though, send it my way! In exchange, I will write a haiku on your virtues.
