Batman: Arkham Knight

I beleive them. This was the last game in the Arkham saga. They'll likely make another Batman game and that will probably be a reboot, not connected to the Arkham set of games

While if they did that how do you think they would make it like stand out from the arkham games? I don't want like a level bass game any more. I prefer the free rom.

I don't know what Rocksteady or WB Montreal has in mind, but if they come up with something 2-4 times the size of AK, we'll need full access to the flippin' Batwing to make things efficient.

Despite being primarily a PC gamer, I finally upgraded to an XBone, so I also caved and picked up Arkham Knight for the console as well in light of skepticism regarding the timeline of proper fixes. To be honest, I'm really not feeling the game and pretty much dropped the game after a few hours of playtime. The Batmobile gameplay is nauseating and it just doesn't really feel like a proper Batman game with all of the military enemies. It kind of drove me to go back and replay Arkham City, which was my least favourite game of the Arkham series, and I'm finding that I appreciate Arkham City a lot more now. For all my previous peeves with the game, it's a lot better than Arkham Knight to me. I'll give Arkham Knight a second try in a bit, but first impressions were not great.

I agree with you, this military/tank stuff I'm not feeling it either much as much AC had good enough story it made you feel like Batman and I adored AA again that game made you feel like Batman. Almost makes me power up my old PS3 start playing previous Arkham games.

When is the remastered new gen versions of AA&AC being released? I have a feeling many will flock to them and stick around those more than with AA, Including myself.

Graphics boost, some tweaks and all dlc being added may make a big difference! I'm one who rated AC as the weakest in the series compared to the rest with AK as #1 but now I'm really missing those challenge maps and skins

While I don't know how any one can say AC is worse then asylum. With how much bigger city was and with all the upgrades in combat and with asylum not having side missions it is kind of hard to even play AA any more. Plus city has the better story and soundtrack to. Has good has AA AC is better in like ever way. But we don't no about remastered new gen yet only had rumors about it. I could see them maybe having them out around Christmas or some time in November for the holidays or something. I don't know if I would buy them or not. I love these games a lot but I think it is kind of silly to rebuy games you already have just because they look better being remastered. That is like I really only rebuy movies on bluray that I already have on DVD if there are some new special features with the bluray. Maybe if they only cost like $20 each I would.

While maybe I mean just glide it doesn't really take that long to go ever where in arkham knight even though it is pretty big. Having a batwing to fly in kind of like the batmobile to drive in may not be a bad idea has long has the don't make a lot of the game play around the batwing like they did the batmobile.

While that could be other reason they would maybe want to come back and make other batman game to try to improve on the mistakes of this game because this game is getting more criticism then the other arkham games.

Ace Combat: Gotham City

That ****ing[BLACKOUT] Man-Bat![/BLACKOUT] My God! :argh:

Made me jump on lol I don't like his design, made him look ugly than he already he is.

Did you finish the main story? Or faced Arkham Knight yet?

If true than good it if not WB Montreal should take notes not to involve military/tank in a Batman game.

The Red Hood DLC is how I would imagine a John Wick game.

It's just so out of the blue!

I completed the game on Tuesday night and obtained the full ending :p

Despite being primarily a PC gamer, I finally upgraded to an XBone

If you are a pc gamer how is an Xbone an upgrade?

Even a mid range PC noticeably outperforms the current gen consoles.

he could mean he upgraded his home console (whichever that was) to an Xbox One

I doubt Rocksteady is moving forward with another Batman game to make up for the mistakes of this one. The game is pretty much a success, and they still got DLC to go.

Yeah, Rocksteady is done with Batman. I wouldn't even want them to make another to rectify their "mistakes". They should stick to their guns and move on. Despite all the flaws I see in the game, it's still great in it's own right and that alone makes it a successful ending to the Arkham games. Let someone else give Batman a shot.

The game has bigger and worse decisions in some characterizations and the story but it's not a complete disaster(on console). I enjoyed Rocksteady's efforts and they did so much for a batman gaming franchise but I also now really hope it's over for them and that WBM take over but do their own new thing in a whole new franchise

Why should they move on?
What makes people so sure that they wont do a new batman franchise?
Just because they are finished with the arkham series, doesnt mean they have to stop doing batman games.

Rocksteady limited themself with the arkham name, i think they never expected their series to evolve so much and so far.
Before the arkham games, they only worked on one game before...there was no way to expect the series to go that way.

And why should someone else get a shot at batman games?
Obviously other devlopers are either to lazy or "untalented" to create comic book based games...otherwise we would swim in superman, justice league, flash, iron man etc games.

It would be more then annoying imo if they would stop now, especially since arkham knight gave the series every little gameplay mechanic a batman game needs.
The Basic gameplay mechanics are all there, it would be a waste to stop now.

Let WBGM do a second origins(which they hopefully/probably already work on)
While Rocksteady creates a new batman universe.
One that starts at the middle of batman career, where he has all the allies, gadgets, villians etc.
Then let WBGM do the prequels in this franchise while rocksteady does the sequels.
That would be my wishfull thinking at least:)

As Havok guessed, I meant upgraded my dusty living room console from an Xbox 360 to a Xbone. It still pales in comparison to my PC of course (i7 3770K, 32 gb RAM, GTX 780, 512 gb Crucial Solid State), but it's nice to have for those occasional console exclusives that still come out from time to time. It's funny to see what console gamers currently consider cutting edge and next generation.

Are there still issues with the PC version?

You must be joking? It is still in the same broken state as at release. An "interim" patch fixing some of the issues is supposedly coming in August, but it is all that has been promised so far. Leaked communications from retail store, EB Games, state that a full fix is coming in the Fall at the earliest.
