Batman: Arkham Knight

The only difference is the number of combos and types of moves and refined animation. The button layout is hardly any different so its not as big of a change as you seem to think. Seems like you are remembering it being a lot more different than it actually is. How long has it been since you played AA and AC?

Ive never been forced to use a gadget against thugs in any of the games. The electro baton guys and car door shield guys require a different approach but I didnt have to use a gadget or special multi button combo move on them.

I stop playing one when they come out with another. The button layout is relatively the same but it's not a roster update like say a sports game. It's actually feels like separate game that takes time to master except for Origins. id miss dual play, smoke bombs, instant takedowns, dual play and some other things. There are however some gadgets I miss that aren't in Ak like sonic batarangs, and AA's batclaw but I'll get over it.

i'll wait to see if there's any new content in these remasters. as of now, i think i'll be skipping on it

I'll skip the remaster. I'd rather play new content. I'm hoping WB Montreal announce something soon.

If there isnt a huge upgrade or new content I may skip this solely on principle. Not happy this doesnt include Origins.

if this is a rocksteady thing then it shouldn't come as a surprise that origin ain't included

Isnt that the fourth time now that a HD Collection is listed somewhere? Until its Official, im not even thinking about the idea of a HD Collection.

I have the games as a collectors edition, dont see the point in buying them again just because of HD textures and small things.
We will see.

the games are already in HD

Wasn't the rumor that this would be available for pre-order today?

This is the first time there's been an actual listing for the collection. The first mention of it was from the Italian IGN article that simply said it was coming, the second time it surfaced was doing an official survey that WB sent out about a potential collection to their WB Insiders thing. So, it's basically all but confirmed at this point, honestly, way too much stuff about it popping up at this point for it not to be. It's just weird timing, really, since you would expect this collection before Arkham Knight, but I don't know, maybe there's more work being put into than the usual remaster or something.

...No?

It did say that. I've been checking on the PS store back and forth.

Oh, my bad, I didn't know the listing had a date with it, too.

They will likely announce it with a trailer at some point in the day.

Really? are you sure...hm, i might confuse it then with a different game...i was sure that a Arkham collection was listed for a couple of years now here and there.

A listing for it may have posted elsewhere, but I'm not aware of it. But a couple of years, not really. Most of the actual stuff relating to a collection is relatively recent. Now I'm sure people have talked about wanting remasters for years, but as far as actual, concrete stuff pointing to it, I'd say it's probably been all within the last year or so with the IGN Italy article being the first bit shortly before Knight came out.

anyone else think its coming out pretty quickly, unless its something they've been working on for a while under hush(pun intended) i dont think it could be much of an upgrade graphically wise

Eh, I know it's a dumb thing to say, and it falls into the cynicism of corporations cashing in on fan loyalty, but I'd buy it. I loved those games so much, that playing it on my current consoles is a good enough reason for me to purchase it. I can wait until the price drops, or maybe get it if it's a little under full price.

I'd be curious to see if the Sony exclusive content makes the leap as well, even if only on PS4. Like the Sinestro Corps Batsuit in AC, or more importantly the Joker Challenge Maps in Arkham Asylum.

I think it'd be smart to include something more. I'm not even sure what, really. Maybe a set of Batman skins from Arkham Knight or something? Or an Akham series retrospect documentary or something? Anything to sweeten the pot, because the Arkham games have been popular and have sold well, and have been multiplatform. It's not exactly the same case as, say, a console exclusive title that might be open to a new audience. Arkham City has been free on both Playsation Plus and Xbox Live, before as well. The only Arkham game that one could argue might have found new life and gotten new love with a remastering would have been Origins, since I've heard a number of people skipped it. If Origins were part of the package, I could feel much better about paying full price without new content (considering it'd also include Cold, Cold, Heart, all the skins along with the Bruce Wayne training challenge maps). That'd be a hell of a deal, honestly, having those three even at full price. And it's strange, post-Arkham Knight, where it's been made clear that Origins is in fact part of the series and canon.

So rumors about a remasterd collection have started up again or its a fact now? Maybe it'll be officially announced at E3, which I hope so but also am hoping for WBM to announce their next Batman/DC game.

Injustice 2, Arkham remastered collection, new dc game by WBM all being revealed at E3 would be damn awesome experience and plus gameplay footage of Telltale's Batman game.

thats not something that would be announced at E3, especially with it being 2 months away. Its supposed to be up for preorder this week with a release the week before E3 in June

Also if and when Injustice 2 gets announced, that'll likely happen before E3 as well

It's still a rumor at this point, but so much has come up about it recently that I'm pretty sure it's going to happen at this point.

If you want gameplay of Telltale's Batman game, you can just look at footage of basically any of their games from the past 5 years or so. They basically all play pretty much the same.

I know and am hoping for Wolf Among Us quality but meant that I want to see the chacter designs, characterizations, type of choices, interactive objects and stuff like that

Whelp, finally picked up the game for $20 at Gamestop. They had Scarecrow and Harley Quinn story packs still, so that was cool. I look forward to jumping into it, though not the Batmobile stuff, since I never wanted the thing to begin with. All the DLC was a giant wet fart, right? Nothing worth bothering with?

I think Season of Infamy was supposed to be the only bit of worthwhile DLC. And even on that I've read mixed opinions. Still haven't finished the game, wasn't that far into it in the first place and haven't touched it in months.

I'd say the Matter of Family DLC is worth it, though I know some were disappointed with that so maybe look into if it seems your thing. The 66 Batman stuff was actually quite fun, the only Batmobile tracks I'd replay. I never got to play Season of Infamy as I have an ******* for a sibling who deleted the game from the hard drive when it came out and I haven't gotten around to re-installing everything. GCPD Lockdown had a great predator map, if it's cheap and you like predator maps. The Challenge map packs were nice to have, however they're not new content. They're maps you play in the main story just repackaged. So unless you really enjoy doing predator challenge maps like myself, probably something you can pass on. The rest, outside of skins which of course are just whatever catches your eye, are misses. Just my opinion anyway.

Season of Infamy was great, it's easily the best DLC pack.
