Batman: Arkham Knight

I still think we are getting another Arkham game it may just be a squeal to origins or Keven may just be lying or something. With the amount of rumors about another Arkham game I have to think there has got to be some truth behind it. I swear its like the Nintendo switch rumors before we knew 100% it was really like a million rumors.

Video game sites and so on go full clickbait on this whole thing when in reality it doesnt change anything.

If i remember correctly, Conroy has said something like this after City.
Mark Hamill has said that city would definitly be his final joker role.
So voice actors arent always the most reliable source when it comes to stuff like that.

A origins sequel could still come or a new series which uses a completely different voice cast etc.
Or Conroy could simply try to throw people off the track since there are so many rumours etc around about a new game.

In the end we will find out if and when Rocksteady reveal their game and when we see what WB montreal is working on...until that, a new batman game is like schroedingers cat:woot:

So I beat this game last weekend (yeah, 2 years late, but I was decided to not even play it) and I'm surprised by how much I loved it. Going into something with negative expectations can do wonders.

I was so ready to bash this game if all of the shortcomings I heard about it were true, but a big part of the game that annoyed so many others felt ok to me: the Batmobile and the tank battles. I had fun every second I spent conducting that awesome machine.

What I can agree with are the lack of boss battles and the constant Joker appearances. It was fine the first few times he showed up to taunt me, but they made it way to frequent and I beat everything else in the game before I defeated Scarecrow so I guess I got even more Joker than most of you guys.

The only encounter that felt like a boss battle was against Albert King and he wasn't even a main player. Jason's too but that was more of a hide and seek game than a boss battle. That was really disappointing. We had two big martial artists in this game in Jason and Deathstroke and we had to fight them in tank battles. That's shameful. I don't think anyone will disagree that it was just lazy. They excelled in other parts of the game, like the gameplay, physics and the graphics, but boss encounters were completely relegated to banal tussles. What was that with Hush? I couldn't believe that would be all we'd get.

I didn't mind the story either and admire that Scarecrow was still the main villain in the end (specially after what happened with Strange and Blackmask in AC and AO) even though he was a completely different one than that of Arkham Asylum. I already knew Jason was under the mask of AK, which surprised no one ever, and I still wish, like I did before the game was launched, that we had a completely original character in AK. They could show his face before the story even started, so his identity wouldn't be important.

I liked the new gadgets, I liked the fear takedown, I liked the odds pitted against us as the story moved on and the resolution with some of the characters. I felt like Batman in this game, even when I was destroying so many drones in a warzone. Overall, I had a wonderful time with this game but was already ready to move on before I even played it.
As much as I like the formula and gameplay, it's time for something new.

I doubt keven conroy'sl ying he's jus saying he hasn't been called in for more work inthe series

Yeah, if there's gonna be a sequel to Origins, then it's likely they'll have Roger Craig Smith voice Batman again.

I think it's pretty clear WB Games are working with Roger Craig Smith on some kind of Arkham continuation. Conroy wouldn't know about it and no one else is allowed to speak about it.

Shame, I'd love Conroy to do a Batman Beyond game with Will Friedle. But it doesn't have to be with Rocksteady.

An Arkham Origins sequel would be wonderful. That game needs more industry validation than a couple of nods in Arkham Knight.

bought the return to arkham set for ps4 because it was the right price
i do wish they had included origins

I was actually surprised by how much they integrated AO in the cannon. They remembered what happened with Firefly, Sionis, Electrocutioner, the Blackgate riot...even that big hotel can be seen far away. It never seemed like an afterthought.

bingo

oh and I seem to have forgotten this as well here a video's on Len Wein, who co-produced a lot of marvel characters (mostly known for X-men )other comic's in general. and the reason this is here is he was the that got the Batman TAS to happen too and that's what got Conroy's career to happen . it's also mention in the video below at the latter end .May he rest in peace.

And believe or not, there's still people still trying to say that Origins isn't canon. Rocksteady themselves have even stated that they consider it canon.

that's i8t'[s always good to have the youtube video where shefto said it'[s conno handy to put up to those people onh line other talking or listening to them see it and the people paying attenton to those foolish people still punishing that it's not cannon question them. And their arguments are meaningless with that ebvidence .

Man I thought graphics were so amazing on this when it first came out but I just popped it on and it feels more like a late generation PS3 game

Every couple years the technology leapfrogs.

Origins had its issues, but overall, I thought the story was executed better than Arkham Knight.

I disagree with you on that one. It is still one of the best graphics I have seen on a game this gen only a few would I say are at its level.

I would really like a new Arkham game, but I feel like we would have heard something by now.

thats fine. The two main games Ive played this year have been Horizon and Uncharted: Lost Legacy with HDR. Going back to AK, it simply doesnt compare to those

WB Montreal are clearly having problems, so it may be a while before we hear anything concrete.

I have not played Uncharted Lost legacy but I thought uncharted 4 while it looks good dosnt look Arkham knight good and I have played Horizon great game but I still think batman is like right there in graphics. I don't have a pro though so I have not played with HDR and 4k.

The regular PS4 does HDR. Its what Im playing on. It really makes games pop in those that have it enabled

Oh come on now. That's stretching it a bit, but it absolutely doesn't compare to Lost Legacy or Horizon, both of which are gorgeous.

I'll take uncapped frame rates over gorgeous visuals...

Isaw an article like this on EGM on friday but I chose not to put it up cause of the way the article maker worded it .As if Rocksteady was still gonna make more arkham games and this could simply be another ip separate from that one all together. at some point they will have do something esle, I'm putting this up though cause it made more sense in case it's the opposite of certain people thinking rocksteady will only make batman games only.
