Batman Convention this past weekend..pics

Screaming Tiki Con took place in Ohio this weekend. I live only 10 minutes from the convention center which was very nice. There were plenty of comic and toy dealers. Guest artists, gaming tournaments, events, and celebrities.

The celebrities included Adam West, Julie Newmar, Lee Meriweather, Yvonne Craig, & Malachi Throne from the 60's series. There was also the Batmobile, cycle, and copter. Other celebrities included Jeremy Bullock and Peter Meyhew from Star Wars, Noel neil, the original Lois Lane, Margot Kidder and Sara Douglas from the Superman movies.

At one of the local theatres they were showing Batman '66, Superman 1 & 2, Transformers 2007 and 1986! as well as Dark Knight.

In the ajoining Mall there were kids events hosted by the 501st Star Wars group, a costume contest, and a trick or treat. Also in the mall were K.I.T.T from Knight Rider, the Mach 5, and Herbie.

I had a great experience with Adam West, even his agent, Fred, was being personable. He took this photo for me:

I chatted with Adam for about 5 minutes, shook his hand, he even talked with my son when he walked up and shook his hand. Julie Newmar was a blast. At one point after I talked with her, she walked up to me, took my arm and asked if I was having fun.lol I also talked with Margot Kidder and Sara Douglas. My brother talked with Noel neil and had this pic taken:

I was also able to meet Chris Jones, artist on the Batman Strikes comic. He drew me up an original:

I was able to meet afew of my fellow costumers from the boards, which was nice. Made alot of memories. It was a great weekend.

Did you get to sit in the Batmobile???! That looks like an awesome convention, I'm sooooo glad I live in Massachusetts

You could sit in it if you wanted, which I did later when I was out of costume. It was too hard to get into it with the suit on. I took a bunch of photos of just the Batmobile.

FINALLY! somethng interesting on this forum. Did anyone else from this forum attend this event? did any of you run into each other? sounds like alot of guests were at this.

Shadow, you continue to amaze me with your fandom. meeting Adam West had to be a highlight in your history as a batfan. If not THE highlight.

I didnt meet anyone from this forum, but did meet up with a couple of my fellow members of the BOTB and met new friends from the 66 board.

I had met Adam about 19 years ago, and I dont remeber it being anything special. I was hoping for a better experience this time, and I got it. Couldnt have asked for anything more.

Hazelnut, what day did you go? I dont remeber seeing you there.

and adam west haha, he didnt know how to turn off the phone, he was fumbling around with it and then they guy was like , "just close it adam"
