Looking forward to the TV show on Blu-ray. Been many years since I've watched an episode of it, though I do occasionally watch the movie.

I was watching Batman Brave and The Bold on Netflix and they had an episode that has Bruce Wayne's parents and they were voiced by Adam West and Julie Newmar :awesome:.

I've never seen this show in HD, can't wait to see those hot sixties chicks in all their glory, especially Julie Newmar as Catwoman. ;)

Oh my god that is so AWESOME :up:

Where's the poster, The Batman? He always said he wanted to see West's Batman marry Newmar's Catwoman. Well this is as close as he can get to it lol :woot:

Yeah, he's been talking about it on his podcast.

I still wanna check out the comics. I heard they weren't all that great. I'll probably read a few to see if I like it, though.

November needs to hurry up. I'll happily fork out the dollars for this dvd set.

I found a TV advert for the show from the 60's when it was on the air. I love it. The narrator is as camp as the show itself;

I've been assuming we'll finally get some information on the price and release date at Comic Con. Sure would love to get information earlier though.

3. Batman (Adam West, Batman) TV'S 24 GREATEST ACTION HEROES

"The Batman character had become somewhat iconic with the DC comic books, but nobody really anticipated the explosion when we debuted on television in 1966 — it was Batman, Bond and the Beatles. Our TV and movie version gave the books an immediate jolt of life, and my character was a comedic homage to those comic book stories — and much of what was happening in the '60s. And I think our adaptation hit so big and has been so long-lived because it was serious for kids and a comedy for adults." – Adam West

It's badass to see Batman reach the top three...but honestly, I think that has more to do with the character's massive popularity than Adam West's portrayal, as great as it is.

Sad news, but he lived a good long life, and had a terrific career. Aside from his Mr. Freeze I loved him in movies like The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly.

LOL @ his comment about Arnie. $350 dollars sounds incredibly low. Romero, Meredith etc were on a couple of grand per episode. Maybe it's because they were regulars on the show.

How can you not love the '66 Batman? Getting the latest merchandise from the show has been a dream come true for me. :yay:
