I've been wrighting a script for a time now and Im wondering how this ending sounds:

Ok Jokers been caught and put in the Arkham and a Psychologist comes and
ask him a few questions. The Jokers in a straight jacket and sitting in a chair, when shes finishes talking to him he says:

"Wanna here a joke?"

She nods

"What did the Psychologist say before she died?"

the Psychologist isnt scared at all and asks him laughing "What?"

The Joker raises his hands to show her he broke out of the straight jacket and says:

"Help..."

then you see a black screen and the credits roll.

What do you guys think?

This isn't very original. I've seen endings like this before elsewhere. Not bad, just saying. Personally, I think you should use it if you want, just saying not that original ending is all.

Bad idea ending a movie on a cliff hanger unless you've already begun production on the sequel OR seriously planning one.

ALTHOUGH I do like the scene you've written.

If this is a short fan film, cliffhangers usually work. Not all fan films really need a solid conclusion where everything works out in the end.

Again, it's not the most original concept for an ending, but if pulled off right it could pack a punch with an audience craving for more. Still I suggest if you plan for this to be a long film with devleoping characterization and stuff, a cliffhangar like that isn't good if it doesn't follow up with another film. short fanfilms are supposed to be experimental and artsy and preferably under 20 minutes, an ending like that is perfect.

"So you have heard this before"

With a evil Joker laugh at the end as he stands up. :cwink:

It's fine Matrixo, just before the end credits we should hear her scream while we get an aerial sot of Arkham..

Good call on the scream and shot of Arkham, but what about The Joker being busted out by the Penguin for instance. Finishing on a cliffhanger for a series of movies that will continue........
