By breaking it down into the Burton, Shumacher and Nolan films, which franchise did what first? I'll start it off

Nolan Batfilms - First time a villain was used in consecutive films (Scarecrow)

Nolan Batfilms - First time Batman has been portrayed by the same actor in more than two films (Bale in BB, TDK and TDKR)

Shumacher Batfilms - First time one of Bruce Waynes love interests didn't find out his secret (Julie Madison in B&R)

Nolan Batfilms - First time "Batman" wasn't in the title (TDK)

Keaton BatFilms - First (and only) time Batman killed people (intentionally; other than potential deaths due to carelessness (Nolan))

Burton Flim - Someone Seeing the cave besides Alfred (Vicki).

Nolan Flims. Wayne Manor Burning Down.

Nolan Flims. Suit Creation.

Shumacher Films. Batman Using Sonar Modifications.

Burton Batfilm: First and only to use one villain (Joker)

Burton Films. First To See The Batmobile Split Into Another Vehicle.
Shumacher Films. First To See The Batmobile Get Destroyed.

Nolan Batfilms - First time the same Batsuit was seen in two movies (Until he decided to change it up lol)

you are correct haha I forgot the meaning of this thread lol.

In terms of reusing the suit from one film to the other without doing any alterations to it, you're right. But technically the Shumacher Films was first by reusing the Sonar suit from Batman Forever and altered (upgraded) it to the Sonar "Ice" suit for Batman & Robin.

Schumacher films - first time we see Batman more approachable such as showing up at the charity.

Burton Films-First Time We See Batman Unmask Himself.

Burton films - The first time we see a dark live-action version of the Batman Universe. The first time we see Batman wearing a black armored suit.

Good point. I never noticed this until you mentioned it.

EDIT: NVM. Misunderstood the point of the thread.

Schumacher films-
  • The first time we see a woman kiss Batman and not Bruce Wayne (unless you want to count Catwoman's lick from Returns).
  • The first time we see Bruce fight bad guys in his civilian identity.
  • The first time we see Arkham Asylum and Wayne Enterprises.

Burton Films:

first time...

... the Bat-Signal was used to call on Batman to take care of a crime.(BR)

... a super-villan(Catwoman) finds out Batman's secret identity.(Although there is that unexplained line from 'Batman' where the Joker inexplicably says 'I was a kid when I killed your parents', there was no reason given as to why he should have figured out Batman's secret I.D., it seems like a mistake of the storytelling, so I don't count that.)(BR)

Schumacher Films:

First Time...

- we see Batman arrive on the roof of Police Headquarters after the Bat-Signal is shown.(BF)

... we see Batman fighting a top tier super-villan from the rogue's gallery without the villan's origin being shown first.(BF)

... we see Batman fight a super-villan with superpowers, and one with sci-fi technology.(BandR)

The first, and only time so far, we have seen Bruce switch into his Batman costume outside of the cave(or Wayne premises like in TDK) in the midst of an emergency.(BF)

...another fictional DC city was mentioned(Metropolis).(BF)

...another DC superhero was mentioned(Superman).(BandR)

Nolan Films:

... we see Batman disapear in mid-conversation with Gordon(without Gordon seeing him leave at all, like in BB, during his visit when he is not in full costume yet).(TDK)

We did see this in BF at the circus, as Milu pointed out...(unless you mean we see Bruce fight before he has taken on the identity of Batman).

Schumacher films-

[*]The first time we see Bruce fight bad guys in his civilian identity.

trying to think of some more while I'm here....

Nolan Franchise....first time we see Commisioner Gordon brandish a gun and get involved in crime fighting actively(as opposed to just giving out orders like in Batman89 at Axis Chemicals).(BB)

true I forgot

Burton 89: The first time ever on screen we see Batman in an all BLACK costume, I'm surprised no one got that one yet. It's hard to believe really but I don't recall batman ever being shown in all black prior to the film, it was always the traditional light blue and gray except for his early days and a few graphic novels.

If you take the yellow emblem and belt into account, it's not all black. I'm not sure this count as it's not a Batman movie, but this is the only all black Batman movie suit to date. It's the (Schumacher) Batman Forever Sonar suit, painted black and used for the cameo in Looney Tunes - Back in Action.

well I do see it was previously posted posting on the boards from my small phone is kinda tough. But when I said "all black" I mean black in general a departure from the classic blue, grey and yellow with the black bat.
