Among the stars I saw Burgess Meredith attending the premier. I hope he went to see Batman Returns, too.

Yeah I saw this video a few months back on YT. Still cool. LOL at Stallone showing up at the premiere. But now thinks the film killed action movies and how action heroes are portrayed in Hollywood , in general.

Seen that as well. Reminds me of the Batmania that stormed the world at that time. I think only Titanic and Phantom menace matched that hype. I remember how unique and shocking it was at the time - imagine people seeing only the blue tight Batman driving around in a daylight in a cadillac with a bright colored kid (nothing against the TV show tho), Joker doing crimes like turning water into jello. Then seeing Gotham filled with cathedrals, mist, prostitutes and gangsters, and lone Batman, all in black and in bodysuit for the first time ever, staying in the shadow, killing and acting like Dracula. Now THAT was a shift!
