Batman Returns Limited Edition 2cd

I'm definitely picking this up. Elfman's first Batman may be more iconic, but this is actually the better score. It's kind of the same with the films as a whole, really.

Inclusion of Super Freak = SOLD!!!

Haven't ordered mine yet (waiting till after Christmas), but I'm so excited to get it. Returns is one of my favorite Elfman scores.

I bought it and it said that it was "Shipped" and that it completes my order. However I have not received the item. Does this mean it's in the posses if shipping? Anyone else have this problem? I e-mailed them with no response yet. I bought the 89 2-disk from them with no problem. So just wondering.

I ordered mine as well. My question is how does lalaland records have the license for this, how do they go about getting the unreleased cues? Do they somehow get them as an audio track from the Blu Ray? Why wouldn't Warner Bros release it themselves? Either way, I'm thrilled. I regret not ordering Batman '89.

If I remeber correctly they get copies from other who hold the soundtrack. I don't think Danny Elfman provides the tracks because (atleast for 89) they had to splice multiple copies of a track to get the best quality they could. But I am sure Danny Elfman is getting payed because if he didn't then I'm sure it would of been taken down. Also Danny Elfman and Tim Burtons collections with even more unused scores so I think this one is kind of like a cheaper version for like $40.00 you can get Batman and Batman returns instead of $500 dollars (?) for a series of disks with a little more extas, granted you get the other film scores too.

Finally got mine in the mail today. About to listen to it in a few.

I got mine yesterday (along with the new La La Land release of Home Alone), but I'm not going to be opening it up and giving it a spin until Christmas morning.

This was a great release from LaLaLand. This is how great Batman scores should sound like and not like something out of a Bruckheimer/Bay movie. Elfman's BR score is everything that Zimmer's and Howard's Batman scores aren't. Bring on Goldenthal's BF(I never owned the original OOP album) and B&R.

I home LaLaLand Records release BF and B&R

My mind is more on a B&R since there isnt an official score.

i got both Batman & Batman Returns on the way from La-La Land... can't wait to hear them!

Both of them are worth purchasing... I got them both from LA-LA LAND for $45 US plus $10 shipping. I wish they had been cheaper, but I love the music. The remasters on the first film sound much better than the '89 WB release.

Now that there might be a possibility that Catwoman might be in the new Batman movie. I've only read articles that Anne Hathaway will play Catwoman's alter ego Selina Kyle. But if Catwoman shows up I wonder how Zimmer's going to botch that theme up. He'll probably grow his fingernails out and scratch a chalkboard repeatedly and throw in some "roaring" and "meowing" sounds to show that Catwoman is on screen. CRINGEWORTHY!

One things for sure he won't even come close to the greatness of Elfman's Catwoman theme in the same way Zimmer's Joker motif was a joke (pun intended) compared to Elfman's and anyother famous villain theme for that matter.

In case anybody didn't know this already. LLL's Limited Edition Expanded Archival Collection of Elfman's Batman Returns was nominated for a 2010 IFMCA Award for Best Archival Release Of An Existing Score. Sweet. Here's the rest of the nominees in the same category:

It's probably going to be between Conan the Barbarian and Spartacus. Still nice to see BR nominated alongside great classic scores.

LLLR posted on their facebook page (5 hours ago) that they have 5 copies left. So it's very possible that it'll sell out any minute now. If it hasn't already. It's amazing this is selling out faster than the B89 expansion cd. Then again that was 5000 units. BR was 3500 units.

Suprised this is going to sell out before Batman 89. But I do think its the better overall score.

Got this the day it was released. No self-respecting Bat fan should be without it.

Like I said before it's probably b/c B89 had 1500 more copies than BR did. But it's still amazing how fast this is selling. It sold faster than Walker's B:MOTP which came out in the spring of '09' with only 3000 copies. It's also selling faster than Riddle's B:TM which had 2000 copies and was released in the spring of 2010. That's saying a lot about BR's score.
