When Set and location pictures becomes available we can also share in this thread

Good idea but with the movie not even announced yet this thread seems premature and not necessary at the moment.

b4thetrailercom, as Raybia said this is a bad idea due to it being waaay too early.

What's going to happen to this thread most likely, is that it will get pushed down further and further as time goes on. When the announcement is finally made and they start production, someone will make a new and current thread which will stand as the main one. This happens all the time.

you could alter the thread and make it a " locations you'd like to see in the upcoming sequel".

I for one would like to see Robinson park shown in the film.

Lincoln Park in Chicago could be used for this

I was just about to say that. Yes, lets do this. Sets and locations we'd like to see.

So first of all i'd like to second that Chicago Park in the posts above. It looks great. Secondly, I'd like to see Gotham's docks and waterfront, preferably through a batboat action scene or a scene on a ship leaving port (like in "Mystery of the Batwoman").

Finally, i'd like to see Arkham, inside and outside. In TDK we had no manor, no cave, no Arkham... :csad:

Yes, because Mystery of the Batwoman is exactly what you want to emulate right after the most successful Batman movie of all time.

You know, not every Batman comic shows the inside and out of Arkham.

And we saw all that in Begins. You're acting like we haven't seen any of it yet.

I'm so tired of hearing this. Bruce lived in a penthouse for a while in the comics too you know.

What I'm saying is, Nolan, by destroying the manor and updating the cave, after giving them to us first, was able to showcase another aspect of Batman's history. While almost simultaneously giving us back what we lost a little bit later.

He's giving us our cake and letting us ****ing eating it too.

I wish more people understood this.

and I'm glad this thread exists at this moment. Something else to get my hopes up every day when coming on these boards.

:whatever:
What i meant is that that scene was pretty good. A cruise ship in gotham harbour, passing under a huge suspension bridge, with tons of action happening on board. I didnt say the movie should be like MotB.

Its pretty obvious that you re raging too much to actually understand what i'm talking about, but hell, i'll respond.
I appreciate Nolan's effort to change the setting in TDK, but the movie was already less comicbooky than Begins and the super bright bunker and the lack of Akrham, manor, batsuit, etc didnt help me feel like i was watching a batman movie.

Sucks to be you.

Because we were. And arguably the best one ever.

Yes yes and yes.

Oh ****! You just linked to a thread expressing someone's opinion that you and a very few others share! I just got pwned!
I didnt post that link to pwn you, just to prove to you that not everyone thinks the same as you. I dont know how many of us share the opinion that Begins was better than TDK, but even if i am alone, shouldnt you respect my opinion? Isnt it a subjective matter after all, or is TDK superior just because you say it is?

Anyway, you and me we re ****ing done professionally. You re either a troll or you have anger management issues.

Anyway, back on topic. I'd like to see Batman outside of Gotham again, perhaps in a desert if Ras or Talia are in the next movie.

I've been thinking that too! Something elemental like a desert at night, or like the snowy mountains in Begins. Gotham is great but I like seeing Batman confronted by nature too.

My first thought, for some reason, was some kinda train scene like Batman has to stop it from derailing and retrieve something important, and the train is shooting through some dense woods for miles and miles. Maybe a Riddler trap. :woot: So as he barely escapes the inevitable train crash with whatever he was after, he realizes he's stranded way out in the wilderness, and Riddler has rigged up the woods knowing exactly where Batman would be left off. Perfect scenario for a labyrinth maybe?

Blaaah anyway. I dunno where they would film such a thing, or if woods are even necessarily appropriate. I'd just like to see a non-city locale again.

I 2nd this thread....yeah I'am a newbie (fuk do i know righ?)

This should be made a stickey....

For what it's worth I plan on Stalking the film crew in Chicago....it's gonna be filmed down the street from my place again.....

I plan on taking as much footage as possible until i get arrested...haaaaa

A small blurb in the following Variety article mentions that Nolan and co. will be returning to Cardington shoot The Dark Knight Rises. Parts of Batman Begins, The Dark Knight and Inception were also shot in those enormous airship hangars.

Snaring the big Hollywood pictures

U.K.'s tax credit lures in large productions

By Adam Dawtrey

With £780 million ($1.25 billion) in inward investment, it's already a record year for foreign production in the U.K., beating the 2009 high of $1.2 billion.
Most of that money comes from big-budget Hollywood projects. The U.K.'s tax credit is particularly attractive for such films, because it has no ceiling, and it applies to all U.K. expenditure, including the salaries of American talent.

Several $150 million-plus films booked into Blighty this year. Disney's "John Carter of Mars" built giant sets at Longcross Studios, a former tank-testing base converted into a production facility. It also used Shepperton and converted a vacant warehouse in nearby Greenford into a temporary soundstage.

Snaring "Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides" was a big coup, as none of the three previous installments shot in the U.K. It came to Pinewood this fall after location shooting in Hawaii.

Marvel's "Captain America" based itself at Shepperton, but went on location around Liverpool and Manchester.

Fox brought the Matthew Vaughn-helmed "X-Men: First Class" to Pinewood. Steven Spielberg's "War Horse" from DreamWorks has offices at Longcross but is shooting on location. Martin Scorsese's 3D "Hugo Cabret" from GK Films is in extended residency at Shepperton.

Warner Bros., traditionally the studio with the largest commitment to U.K. production, is finally coming to the end of "Harry Potter" at Leavesden Studios. Leavesden started as a temporary facility but evolved into a permanent base. Warner has taken over the site for redevelopment and will reopen it as a full-service studio and visitor attraction in 2012.

With Leavesden out of action, Warner has several current or upcoming projects booked into other studios, including "Sherlock Holmes 2" and "Clash of the Titans 2." Helmer Chris Nolan will return to his usual airship hangar in Cardington to shoot the next Batman.

Universal used Ealing Studios for "Johnny English Reborn." Tim Burton's latest stop-motion project, "Frankenweenie," backed by Disney, is shooting at 3 Mills Studios in east London, while Sony is bankrolling two films from Aardman's animation studio in Bristol, "Pirates!" and "Arthur Christmas."

Indie pics squeezed in amid the blockbusters include Madonna's "W.E," Lone Scherfig's "One Day," "The Woman in Black" from Hammer Films, Jonathan Newman's "Foster" and Tanya Wexler's "Hysteria."

I remember seeing a leaked picture of the Joker in this nurses outfit...completely ruined The Dark Knight for me =\ What kind of jerk would leak something like that?

FYI; the Narrows sets are also, along with the Batcave, still in the Cardington Hangers. You can see them in the Inception BTS...

Can't wait to stalk the production again from Chicago!
