Batman & Son, Assault on Arkham announced

So I saw Batman & Son...not good at all. This is pretty much amateur hour with the dialogue and some of the voice performances. It's kinda sad that those two Superman/Batman movies are a lot more entertaining than these last two DC animated movies... and I really disliked Apocalypse and Public Enemies.

Sadly, this seems to be the case. It seems it was only Bruce Timm who kept it from doing sh** like this.

True, but I have to say that O'Mara's Batman has grown on me. I quite like it now. Then again, I've never been one of those people who's all like "Kevin Conroy is the ONLY true Batman voice actor and NO ONE else can do it as well as him."

Watched Batman and Son and hated it.

Bad story (Why deviate so much from the source?), bad voice acting, bad animation and just bad all around.

It doesn't even resemble the Morrison story at all. Why even use Deathstroke if the characterisation is going to be nothing like the Slade from the comics?

This is so far below Under the Red Hood.

DC's animation has been a high point for the company but lately it seems they're slipping.

JL:War and Batman and Son are indistinguishable from the Marvel animated movies, that is they're average.

Just watched Batman and Son. It was hugely mediocre. Deathstroke sucked. The action was underwhelming. Was kind of boring to be honest.

So what exactly was the problem with Deathstroke? I've heard a lot of people bring him up as one of the film's low points, so I'm curious as to why?

Awww none of you guys seem too keen on Batman and Son. I was hoping it would be awesome.

He just whines because he didn't get what he wanted like a spoil child.

I personally liked it myself. i do understand why people didn't like deathstroke. he is far from his comic counterpart.

Only post from time to time, but I had to comment on this movie because I was very disappointed. Same complaints from me. The dialogue is pretty horrendous IMO and the voice acting isn't far behind.

I always wanted an animated adaption of Court of Owls, but with Tucker running the show I'd be afraid of how it would turn out.

Good lord... I'm only 4 minutes into the Movie and it's already too dumb for me. >_<

There are two scenes during the fight, that immediately jump out at me.

1. Talia shoots an arrow at the bottom of a Helicopter. And somehow the arrow magically ends up in the Pilot's neck. Are you trying to tell me the arrow actually punctured the freaking hull of the Helicopter?

2. Talia kills some soldiers with a shotgun, then starts to run away from them, toward a turret. The Soldiers run after her. And they have guns. So Talia runs away, with her back faced towards the soldiers, who are all armed to the teeth, and they don't even think of shooting her.

A script by Joe R Lansdale too... most people loved his contributions to Batman: The Animated Series.

Deathstroke's voice actor is horrible.... He sounds pompous, and the delivery is just so bad.

Oh, and Ra's has some mad Gray Fox skills. What the hell?

8 minutes, 24 seconds in.

Why the **** are they running? They are winning. Deathstroke forces mostly wiped the floor with Ra's Assassins. Ra's himself is barbecued. With all the Helicopters they have, you'd think one of them would be smart enough to fire a freaking missile at Talia. And there's only one boy left. So he took Slade's eye. Big deal. He's got an army on his side. ****ing cheat and have like a dozen of your men open fire on him.

What the actual **** man!? :wall:

Joe R. Lansdale did the screenplay for this sh**? so sad. :csad:

I'm surprised this Batman hasn't died on his first day on the job.

He didn't have any actual plan when he fought Croc. His only plan of action was to pummel an opponent into submission, who happens to have super strength and extreme durability. But I guess it was a ok plan, for a Batman that seems to be practically invincible. He gets beat on by Croc and is unscathed after a forklift freaking explodes in his face.

This was worse than him fighting the Parademons in Justice League: War. At least he used a number of gadgets and had exploding batarangs.

It is on and off. If it's a close up it is good other than that it's weak.

So between this and JL: War, its sounding like Bruce Timm's absence is beginning to be felt.

At least with War the source material isn't any stronger.

Ok, I finished it. This took effort to sit through. I really hope this Movie is going to be no one's first exposure to Deathstroke. Because, man...

And CinemaSins needs to totally do Animated Movies now.

"Ninja kid has awesome gravity defying skills and parkour moves. Needs to carefully climb down a lamppost."

Same here.
I do not like the style they are using.

What would you have preferred? And don't say the Arkham game trailers because that's just too expensive.

It costs at least $20 million dollars to produce one season of CGI (ala Green Lantern or Beware the Batman).

Did the animation for Son of Batman seem really choppy at points for anyone else or was it just something wrong with the version I was watching?
