I coined emo punches? Awesome, and when did I bash IC?

Out of wondering, what comics do you read or buy on a continuous basis? What sort of comic art is your favorite?

Are you asking me?

I was asking Assassin, but also anyone who wants to answer. Everyone is saying they like Darwyn Cook or they don't but I was wondering what other comics and artists others like.

I was doing so good, I was clean for 2 years, and now I'm being dragged back in... It started with picking up the X-Men Age of Apocapylse trades, then Hulk Visionaries Peter David Vol. 2, then reading Infinite Crisis and 52...
And to seal the deal a trip to the comic store and me buying random things... I'm getting sucked into a hobby that'll drain you dry faster than a coke addiction :( But alas, I'm going stop by the comic shop tommorrow to pick up Donner/Johns Action comics run, but I noticed this prestige comic comnig out. It's got an all-star team behind it but at the same time it's only 48 pages and features so many people, will it be good?

I picked it up. Jeph Loeb and Darwyn Cooke ... mmmh it smells good!
Well I'm disappointed by the late works of Jeph Loeb but I picked it up anyway because I like the Spirit and because I love Darwyn Cooke and I keep liking what he does.
I found it enjoyable but not that good. There were no surprise at all, but still enjoyable.
I'm waiting for the next, in order to see if it's going to spice up a little.
Anyway I'm glad they "relaunch" the serie, and I'm over satisfied that D.Cooke take the title, I think it's a great idea.I hope they'll make a good thing out of it.

I know you do it, you were like the first guy who said "emo punches" and you bashed IC, then your ***** Leauger nodded and agreed.
I am the Leaguer. I am nobody's b****. You are mine. I do not need to know you. You only need to know me.

?? just because you do it, it doesnt mean we all do. I've never liked cook's art, ask Elijya, i told him over the summer that i couldnt stand the "chinky eyed" art when he almost got me to read new frontier, but like i said, this is a step up from new frontier.
why would I possibly remember some random opinion you expressed six months ago? :P

Alex Ross
Mike McKone
Jim Lee
Pia Guerra
George Perez

Cant think of any one at the moment but people like that.

and Ethan Van Sciver on Green lantern or Batman, Turner on covers, Greg Horn once in a while.

It's beyond me how someone can NOT like Darwyn Cooke's work on The New Frontier...

I looooved this book and want more more more more.

A very good read. And probably the pick of the week once it came out. Great fun with both the characters, and the dialogue. Cooke's artwork for the book was simply well done. As well as the story itself, which was really enjoyable. Looking forward to the new Spirit monthly.

Oh, man, this was an awesome book! :D

Wagner did another grade A job on the art, like he always does with any other series. Can't wait for him to draw more of THE SPIRIT!!

...You're confusing Matt Wagner with Darwyn Cooke. Cooke was the one who did the artwork on the book. Not Wagner.

Love his art too. I think my favorite might be his work on the Batman Beyond main titles. Got a montage litho on my wall signed by Dini, Timm, Riba, and Burnett.

Too bad it's not also signed by Cooke.
