This is for all things concerning the Batman comic. Thought I'd start it since the Kubert/Grant story will be starting soon, thought it would be nice to have a thread just for it. But for now, might aswell talk about the current story:"Face the Face."

Spoilers

All I can say is, it's about time. Harvey is once again Two-Face.

This story has been leading up to it for some time now, and I knew it was going to happen, I just wish it would've happened in a cooler, more dramatic way, other than Dent doing that to himself.

I haven't read it, but I couldn't help but skim through the pages when I bought it today.

I thought in that one issue where he blows up his place that would've been what scarred him but, nope, he just did it himself. Meh.

Oh, well, still happy to have him back, couldn't have happened to a nicer fella'.:)

Welcome Back,
Two-Face!:batman:

Face the Face to me is just a nice distraction to pass the time until Morrsion takes over. I'm not even picking up the Tec issues.

Hi, first time poster long time lurker. :joker:

Cool thread, I havent read the latest arc though......

It's suppose to be about... 32 pages long, but seriously, I have heard it has something to do with Bruce having a baby with Talia, but I don't want to spoil it for myself, and I really don't see him as a Dad. I just don't like the idea.

That's just me.

I agree with you on that point. It just seems, to me, like a ploy for Morrison to make his previous story into canonization, which seems arrogant.

Spoilers

Okay, now I've read Face the Face part six, it takes place mostly in Harvey's room at the Motel, and he's talking to his "Two-Face" reflection in the mirror, and his dark side is trying to convince him of how great it was to be evil and, to admit how much better his life was as Two-Face.

"It was better than sex, heroine, acid,..." etc. It goes on from there.

Harv tells his dark half how Batman had trained him for a month after confronting him about watching the city while he's away and that he'd be taking Nightwing and Robin with him, and he didn't know how long he'd be gone.

It seems Harv was a bit annoyed that Batman had Returned and took back his position.

Two-Face in the mirror finally gets to Dent, and then in a part that made me feel a bit squeamish even though it's not overly graphic but, just at the thought of what he did willingly, Harvey pours a bottle of Acid on his Left side then Takes a scalpul to the wound to finish the scar so, it looks as it was before.

Yuck!!! Ouch!!!

Two-Face is back.

I don't kow anything about the previous story and I really don't want to, I don't like the idea, but it'll be a great story I'm sure.

I loved the stuff Morrison did with Breyfogle a few years ago. :)

Read the latest issue of Batman last night. Holy crap that was kind of a creepy issue.

The emotional impact of it may have more effect on me as 52 gets deeper into the story. But to us, the readers, Harvey has been "cured" for about five issues, heh.

I don't know...the emotion of it just wasn't there...but it was still a very good issue. Hopefully we'll get to the bottom of this and find out who it is that's framing Two Face.

I think it was just Two-face doing it all along, and Dent doesn't remember it 'cause he blacks out when he kills and then Face takes over.

Either way I'm just happy Face is back. It's good to see Batman getting cleaned up after all these years. It's been so jumbled since the late 90's what with earth quakes and all.

I stopped reading after Knight'sReturn. Now I'm back and so is the Dark Knight.

Yeah, I was thinking that it still could be Dent who's been doing it. But that just seems, at this point, like it's the easy way out of the story. But it would be a pretty good story if it was Two Face who did the killings anyway while Dent was blacked out, and then Two Face returns after making Dent angry over Batman kind of accusing him.

But I'd like it to be someone else though.

Yeesh, I didn't even know the new issue of Batman was out, more so since I just picked up the latest Detective issue. Sounds pretty intense though, thankfuly a new comic store just opened up in my area so I won't have to wait for the bookstore releases.
