Batman: Turning Points ?

I haven't read this but the talent on the book is pretty solid. Rucka, Brubaker, and Dixon are all extremely talented writers. I'd give it a shot just because of that. I'll probably end up picking this up when it comes out to see what it's like. And the covers are by Tim Sale who is kick ass in his own right.

It was a pretty good read. It's comprised of five chapters, each of which takes place at a different point in Batman's and Gordon's careers. If you're familiar with Year One, Killiing Joke, and Knightfall, you aren't missing much.

I am shocked that it took so many years for this to be released in TPB form. Since I own the individual issues I never looked for a collection but assumed it already existed. It's good material especially if you're one of those people who is not too saavy with the comics but digged Batman Begins due to Gordon and Bats. My favorite chapters were the Year One and Knighfall ones.

But is this a reproduction of certain scenes from the original books, or new take on them and those events ?

It shows new angles during or after familiar stories. It basically focuses on the evolution between Gordon and Batman as a team throughout those events.
